Re: Current International One Day Cricket
Thailand putting up a decent effort in their debut. 78/9, but have West Indies at 48/3 after 12 overs

Yarpesses restrict England to a pedestrian-looking 123 in their WT202020 opener.

Re: Current International One Day Cricket
Hmm, at 2-124 Aus should've pissed it in last night, but somehow contrived to throw it away.
Having said that, a remarkable bit of fielding by Steve Smith saved 5 runs in the Yarp innings. De Kock smoked one over the midwicket boundary but Smith dived beyond the boundary to catch it and throw it back to contain the hit to just one run.
Decider at Cape Town.

2 very similar innings in that T20. Shouldn't have been as comfortable as it was for SA.
It's definitely deliberate and I think costs them around 20 runs, but does lead to fewer embarrassments. The bowling is not too shabby, but this does cost them a bit.skully wrote:tricycle wrote:Might be talking out of my arse, but I don't think 80 SR centuries are that useful in ODIs these days. Jayzus. The Aussie girls were 3-10 chasing 123 v Lanka.
Sounds like they have well and truly taken the gas in this tourny.
At least Meg Lanning is still there.

Well this is going to put a hole in the CA coffers. Pretty embarrassing by the Aust girls who were odds on to win the whole thing at the start of the tournament - won't even make the semis.

Saved by a poor review and then some dreadful fielding from SL.
Can't see how they will beat an England or Saf on this form.

Well she nearly won the last match for us.
But she's all over the place at the moment. In fact, all of the top order are in a funny place. It's like they are all relying on someone else to do the work.

It was either a brilliantly timed run chase ...or they are rusty as hell
Why is Perry batting so low?

Nice one, MB! Grown massively since the last photo I remember seeing of hers (possibly a couple of years ago now).
Genuine question as I have no clue... don't they do a height fit for the kids with players? So the smaller player is with the smaller kid.

Re: Current International One Day Cricket
Caught the highlights of the Aus v SL game today (missed live).
Chamari Atapattu is a touch of class for the Lankan women. She gives it a real belt.
And the consecutive 6s by Aussie Rachael Haynes were a couple of big strikes.
