Re: Rugby League 2020
Well I'll be stuffed, the Dragons finally broke their duck with a 30-16 win over the Sharks.
Hunt looked much more useful at dummy half and even scored one. Dufty had a good game and some of the bigger names like Vaughn and Frizzell had better games. Corey Norman is still a waste of space.
They still looked shaky at times with plenty of clumsy errors, but a win's a win.

Drags win 2 in a row with a 20-8 win over equally woeful Titans.
Take a photo, cos 2 in a row won't happen again this season for the Red V.

And the Warriors surprisingly give Coach Kearney the arse while his team is locked down in Aus.

R00ters too good for the Slimeys overnight.
The Bondi Boys look hard to beat for the premiership again this year.

Tough win for the Coastal Filth this arvo v Raiders.
The Green Boys had enough chances to win but a heavily undermanned Manly defence stood firm.
Tommy Turbo's dodgy hammy gave way again.

Impressive display by the Choccie Soldiers tonight, although the Bunnies did look flat.
Cleary controlled the game nicely.

Re: Rugby League 2020
Decent game. Top 7 is looking reasonably clear now (Rooters, Eels, Choccies, Eagles, Storm,Knights and Raiders) with maybe Souths most likely to make the 8.

Re: Rugby League 2020
Oh and Skully, I had a chat with Cooper Cronk yesterday at my local coffee shop. I can officially confirm that he is not making a comeback for the Dragons. I asked him how about he just stand behind the play and tell Ben Hunt what to do but sadly no go

Re: Rugby League 2020
Drags were in at up to HT (10-10) but the R00ters were too classy after the break.
And the Storm smashed the poor old Worriers.

Injuries starting to bite.
Manly certainly missed Tommy Turbo to be snotted by the Sharks.
Will be interesting to see if the R00ters and Eels suffer after some key player injuries.

Re: Rugby League 2020
Nowhere near the speed and intensity as last night's game this evening.
FWIW, Slimeys leading the Cows 16-4 at Oranges.
Apparently* the Raiders beat the Drags 22-16 earlier.

A hearty LOL at the sad Nags, who were beaten by the Warriors 26-16.
In the other game, Penrith overcame the Tigers 19-12.

Re: Rugby League 2020
TBF their recruiting was done on the basis of a completely different game. That said their recruiting has been a shambles since Cyril Connel left years ago. Reputedly the only man who could tell Bennet to STFU and listen.

Re: Rugby League 2020
I always thought Bennett's success was just a product of the great roster he always had. Of course, he was largely responsible for that roster (notwithstanding Q's comment above re: Connel).
But after seeing what he did at St George in 2010, he clearly has the man-management skills to get the best out of his cattle.
Perhaps Seiboldt doesn't have that skill.
