Re: Corona Virus
While all other States use the police or ADF to keep hotel quarantine rules in place, the Vomit govt decided to go with untrained private security contractors, who largely sleep (or slept with infected returners) through their supposed Covid quarantine duties.
Yes, yes, we already knew this, but apparently* the reason Dan Andrews went with private security is that the Victorian Police Union didn't want to babysit the quarantined oversees returners. No really.
Yet again the Unions and Labor fark the country.
Another 429 new cases in Vileville overnight. What a festering pus hole.

Thanks Skully.
Much to learn from all this. First not one person, citizen or not should be allowed back in the country for at least 6 months.
After then they can only return via boat where the boat sits in isolation for a month at either end. Plane travel to and within Oz should be banned forthwith.

Re: Corona Virus
I'm amazed Aussies are still returning from overseas 6 months into this plague.
ScoMo made it quite clear back in March/April - get back NOW. And yet they are still dribbling in to the country, many carrying the plague with them.

Re: Corona Virus
The overseas travellers should have been sent to Christmas Island at their own expense after the deadline. There is a quarantine eff up which has driven the second wave, but these travellers carrying the plague as stated above have been the root cause of affecting an isolated island.
The quarantine guards were monumentally unprofessional, but those who slept with them offering sex in return for extra freedom should pay the price through a criminal record. They have blood on their hands.

Criminal charges against company directors. What that lead to jail time? You crack me up h. Howard used taxpayers money to bail out his brother. I don't think capitalism has embraced socialism that much.

That's an understandable reaction to those who CHOSE not to come home, but what of those who simply could not get a flight back home for love or money? Who had an economy seat but were 'trumped' and bumped by someone willing to pay a business class ticket? Those trapped in South America have had an especially difficult exit and some are now trapped in an evolving hellhole.
This was coming nicely under control until the meat workers and security guards let the genie out of the bottle. We're now in for a very rough ride. Victoria is the first domino to fall, the epicentre if you like, but it's hard to imagine any of the other Eastern states avoiding a similar trajectory now.

Re: Corona Virus
Another 439 cases in Vomitville and alas another 11 deaths.
That Red skite of a month ago regarding the Ruby Princess is looking sicker by the day. The death toll alone since then is well over 100.
NSW still holding on to hope of avoiding a Vic style breakout, with 12 new cases.

Re: Corona Virus
Aye.
Turns out Andrews' decision to support the Police Union and use cheap private security guards instead of cops to police hotel quarantine was a worse decision than NSW Health's call to let people off the Ruby Princess.

Re: Corona Virus
Be grateful you're on an island, Mr Dog. Apparently* Coronavirus can't swim 500 km.
I wish we could take a chainsaw to the Murray border, detach Vomitvville from Aus and let it float off into the Tasman.

When I say "all Victorians", apparently* that's only those arriving by plane. What about the 250K of the qunts arriving by car each month?
