Re: Corona Virus
It does seem rough on the good citizens of the Borough of Westminster that their home should be blamed for and associated with an apparently unchallengeable 'convention' enforced by a handful of decidedly dodgy traders from one particular street that's literally on its extreme outskirts....

Re: Corona Virus
Have to say I'm not surprised Daniel Andrews is still playing hardball with the Vomit lockdowm.
He'd look like a twit if the Northern Melbourne cluster exploded.
Wise to wait a week or two. But I can also understand the angst that the decision created.
It's been a long period of misery for Melbournites.

Four consecutive doughnuts day. Melbourne Cup day today and no crowds. What could have been.

Yeah - let's really road-test the ease-off by throwing a hundred thousand hooray Henrys (a sector of the community who always do 'responsible' to Olympic gold level) into the same square mile, and add sun and Spumante....

Re: Corona Virus
I took the partner's Mum to the local RSL club today and it was ferkin packed.
Other than every 2nd poker machine being turned off and dining tables being spaced, there was no social distancing.
It made my skin crawl.
I can't imagine what the Melbourne Cup would've been like if Commander Dan gave the OK.

As it is, by this time tomorrow Dan will be responsible for Anthony Van Dyck's death according to three quarters of the S Bend.

Me neither, but I'm guessing the pubs up your way would have been been the same for the NRL final two Sundays ago, and no spike yet
(Radical idea: clear out the other half of the oversized spam tins as well. and make room for a few more tables)

Re: Corona Virus
Been on planes, trains and automobiles multiple times in the last fortnight. Social distancing in departure lounge, packed in like sardines on aircraft. A traveller's delight on the two long distance trains. Carriages a third full, menu and their execution even reasonable. But all in all proof our leaders still don't get it.

Just a bit busy. GF was fun as I could relax and piss myself every time my clients tried to get excited about the game.

Re: Corona Virus
Chalk me up. At least I tested positive, spent 6 days in a hospital with no symptoms. Got pumped full of medicine.
Then tested negative twice in a row.
Dunno if I had it at all (ie whether the first test got it wrong).

I have zero time for either.
I am convinced there has been gross negligence by several senior bureaucrats. Many have died and many more will live with chronic disorders as a result of too smart by half decision making.
The Feds have also been grossly negligent in its malevolent administration of the aged care system.
ROFL. Kim Peake (Health) and Chris Eccles (Prem and Cabinet) are both definitely in the gun judging by excerpts of their evidence to the Inquiry.
Could not happen to a better pair.
Kym Peake gone.

Uni of Qld's covid vaccine has been shown to be harmless to the elderly (something that the Pfizer vaccine can't do yet) while effective against coronavirus.
Good news for home grown pharmaceuticals.

Putin already is.

Well I'd think about it if it got me on a plane to Rome and hence onto a boat in the Adriatic.
