With Agar's ton, does this start another push by a crappy WA bowler to nab the selectors' desperately sought after allrounder spot in the Aus XI?
the push is already on for Cam Green

Lorne does not bowl anymore. That won't stop bnlg, CA and Lalor talking him up as an all rounder.

In all fairness he does look a good prospect as a batsman. Puc at 5 and Lorne at 6 is worth a crack.
Both are upgrades on Head and Mere/Wade.
Mind you a KFC bucket would be an upgrade on Marsh.

How crap are the Jellies. Agar of all the rubbish cricketers going around looks like he will emulate Neser.

At least Neser and Agar aren't Mishmash, so if that's whose place one of them ever takes it improves the side. Especially Neser ('the Monster?) who has been ready for a shot at the big time for a while. This 'Agar is the latter day Johnny Watkins' narrative has always baffled me. He did OK in BD in both roles the last time they brought him back as I remember.

Geez, I wonder how often (if ever) 2 players have completed the "100 + 5-fer in the 1st innings double" on the same day in the Shield before.

In more than 2200 Shield games during that time, only 26 players can lay claim to the double that patrons in Adelaide could have witnessed twice today if they carefully timed their stroll from one venue to the other.

Agar follows Shield century with five wickets
West Indies legend Sir Garfield Sobers – rated the greatest all-round cricketer of all time – managed it four times inside three seasons when playing for SA in the 1960s.
Monty Noble achieved it three times for New South Wales either side of the turn of the 20th Century, while ex-Test players Doug Walters (NSW) and Phil Carlson celebrated it twice during the 1960s and 70s.
Former Test captains Warwick Armstrong, Richie Benaud and Bob Simpson have their names on the list, as does Steve Smith who scored an even hundred and snared 7-64 for the Blues against SA at the SCG in 2009-10.

Re: Australian Domestic Season 2020-21
Doug Walters did the ton & Michelle double over the course of a match at least twice: a double and a 7-for as an 18-year-old 10 months before his Test debut in 1965, and Dec 1972 v Vic which sealed his return to the Test team for Windies 1973. Phil Carlson also became our 300th Test cap after making a century and taking twin 5-'s in Jan 1979.

Cheers A.
So I guess the answer to my Q is "never" although Sobers and Walters did achieve the feat in the 60s. I might have a bit of a look to rule out that they did it on the same "weekend".

Re: Australian Domestic Season 2020-21
Think Mitch Johnson may have been the last to achieve this feat.
Sobers thrice, in a very short Shield career; he was that good.
Did Gilmour ever manage it? Noffke? Moody? Chappell G? Brendon Julian? Don Nash? (RIP Woody) More seriously, I'm wondering who else achieved the feat in that list of 26.

Tas looks to be heading to an Innings defeat, while the Jellies seem headed for defeat.
Double failure for Paine. **groan** Tas are really missing Wade's batting. Apparently* he is on leave.
Head is 43* and has a chance of a long knock to get a draw.

None of our batsmen did well.
However, the real problem seems to have been dropping Labuschagne three times before he was thirty. Two 'regulation' catches at slip and one at midwicket, and they were just the ones on the highlights.
