Some very good names on it - Marsh, Gilmour, Hughes, Hayden; and some that disappeared very quickly. Who remembers Colin Penter, Rod Davison, David Dawson, or Wayne Seabrook?

Dirk Wellham may have been the only first-class debut century-maker to also score a ton in his first Test match. If not, I'd imagine he was almost definitely the only bloke in that category to be available for, but sit out BOTH teams' next matches.

We're okay, thanks lardy. We have never had issues with flooding on our property in over sixty years. Just got internet & house phone back on after a few days. There's some heartbreaking scenes out there & more rain predicted for every day over the next week. Sydney expecting flooding now. Best wishes to everyone.

Gawd knows how they managed to play at the Gabba today. It must be the only bit of dry ground in Brisbane. They certainly couldn't play in my backyard. It is very soft underfoot with my car bogged in the middle of it!

Sometimes I think there is a lot of hyperbole about catches. You would expect a first class cricketer to take that 90% of the time.
