Bathurst 1000 2021
Man, Chaz Mostert won the top 10 shoot out yesty with a remarkable fastest ever Bathurst Supercar lap of 2.03.37.
Amazingly the top 5 all managed laps in the 2.03s!!!
And the broadcasters continue to push back the start of the Great Race. For the first time ever, it will start after midday - at 12.15 pm. Qunts.

gotta have a good lead-in program for the BBL their argument will be the cars are faster so the race time is shorter. Ultimately like the GF pre-shows, it means a lot of nothing going on to fill in time before the main event begins

News just in...
Both the Erebus Supercars have been disqualified from the Top 10 results of yesterday after being found to be slightly underweight. Erebus have claimed an "honest mistake".
So Kosteki/Russell get bounced from 5th to 9th and Brown/Perkins lose 6th and drop to 10th.
Tim Slade/Tim Blanchard, Shane van Gisbergen/Garth Tander, Will Davison/Alex Davison, Nick Percat/Dale Wood, and Jack Le Brocq/Zak Best all move up two places.

I hate it, Nath. Back in the 70s the race used to start at 9.30 am.

the only positive is being able to go supermarket shopping this morning and not missing the start,
yes, it used to be around 10am-ish.

10 mins to the start of the Great Race.
Almost (but not quite) as good as the first ball of an Ashes summer.

Congrats to Chaz Mostert and Lee Holdsworth on winning the Great Race.
They had the strongest car all day and deserved the win.
