....and because we played like total dumbarses without an all rounder for two Tests in banIndia
Mitch Marsh is also well liked in the dressing room ( a bit like the fat girl allowed in the cool group so they all know they arent the ugliest ) and some of this squad need to be reassureed they arent the worst Test cricketer in the room

I guess they probably think they need to fight fire with fire, in terms of Bazball… surprised they didn’t pick No-ShowNath wrote:skully wrote:Have to say I'm still mystified at Puddle's selection in the squad. Is he injury cover for Snot?

Re: The Ashes 2023
Sturat looking to stir things up.
"Stuart Broad says Australia's 4-0 series win over England in 2021-22 does not count as a real Ashes victory, arguing pandemic restrictions made it void.
...
"Nothing about that series was high-level performance because of the Covid restrictions.
"The training facilities, the travel, not being able to socialise. I've written it off as a void series." "
---------------------------------------------------
LOL. Yeah, lack of socialising hampers your batting, bowling and fielding.

Re: The Ashes 2023
Yeah, and a very short boundary on the Bridgford Road, exacerbated by the 2008 new stand which replaced a couple of smaller ones.
Notts have seemed reluctant to bid for Ashes Tests in recent years, with capacity probably also a factor compared to the other five major grounds. Restricted to a rarely-played women’s Test, a JAMODI v Ireland and a T20I this year I think. Given our record there it’s a disadvantage to us as well.

More injury concerns for Joffrey, doesn’t look like he will be taking the head of Starc (or anyone else) at this year’s Ashes.
