Re: Ashes to Ashes
Right - tonight's the night, people.
My tunes prediction:
Ghost Town - Specials
Bette Davis Eyes - Kim Carne (? I think)
Chant no 1 - Spandau Ballet
Girls on Film - Duran Duran
Love Action - Th'uman League
Hold on Tight - ELO (Long shot, I know)
Tainted Love - Soft Cell (This might be later in '81, but worth a punt I reckon)

Re: Ashes to Ashes
Ian Wylies Ashes to Ashes blog is a good read
http://blogs.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/ianwylie/2008/02/ashes_to_ashes_its_different_f.html
Says its a bit of a weak episode tonight followed by a twist in the story next week.
I'll be dissapointed if Human League isn't in any episode. Mind you, they completely passed over the headingley test match so who knows?

How are you supposed to guess? There were a lot of famous songs in the 80s. They could play anything.

Yeah, it was OK. I'm definitely enjoying it. It doesn't have to break my ground. WTF have they got Mitchell and Webb on at the same time!!!!???!?!?!?!?!?! COUNTS!!! Luckily I've got Virgin so it's catch up TV all the way... booka.
p.s. Jesus Christos JKL... why not just search for her nude pictures?? It's easy enough... baps and pie... god, you're like a 10 year old.

Bollox.
Only a woman would say that. Unless, you're saying she doesn't look good naked. Because she does. So, in conclusion, you're either a straight woman, or you're gay as hell.

More clothing on a woman is sometimes hotter than nothing. I don't expect a sexual werewolf like Batfink to understand these things.
It's the 'tease'...
I'm fighting a losing battle here I see...

Jesus. I've never heard a man sound so much like a woman. I bet Rob I will join in with you. He seems the type. Maybe Tom too.
Personally, I'm getting to see how the British get this limp-wrist, Hugh Grant, 'more is less' stereotype comes about.

I agree with Lever. Some muffs can be incredibly ugly to look at. 'Specially the jungles.

Perhaps you could learn from JKL instead of truckling to the temptation of totty and you won't have that frustration issue you discussed with skully last night

Lara, I've never been less surprised. Never.
But I understand there're butterc*nts/buttertits/butterarses out there. I'd rather see for myself though rather than all that 'imagination' bupkiss.

I'm going off what was in the charts in '81, though I suppose there's nothing to stop them using tunes from before that. I didn't get a single one tonight, but there were a couple - Bucks Fizz and Joe Jackson - that I had from last week.
I can't believe they used Aye Aye Moosey, or whatever it was called, though. Twats.
Still loved it, but. Ray's performance on the boat was comic genius.

Man, I know you wrote the book on frustration but it'd only be the same if I could shag who I want. Shagging has consequences. It's one of the downs to go with the big up.

Yeah, this was Rays episode no doubt.
Drake needs to calm down a bit. She constantly pissed and shagging anything that moves right now.

Well, I don't see the point of clothes in a sexual encounter and I do like to bang them hard, but there's loads of things in between too, I'm a Love Albatross... I like female nudity but, to sound Italian, I like to appreciate a woman and her beauty. A love for 'get 'em off' is hardly tantamount to being an animal of beasting.

Aye, I only wanted to use truckling and totty in the same post. I'm with you, if I wanted to see underwear I'd look at a Harrods catalogue. Give me unencumbered norks any day.
And as for minge being ugly - LLL should put the mirror away

Re: Ashes to Ashes
But it's all in her head! She can shag who she likes when she likes. She can't worry about her reputation in an imaginary world.
I reckon the big twist might be that the 80s is the real world and the present day was in her head.

Yeah, Ray was awesome. Thought Drake would calm down, but then she still doesn't let herself into that world so she would be a bit wild.
