Re: AFL 2008 thread
Was surprised the Eagles won yesterday, they could have lost to the Aints without anyone suspecting tanking.

We (WCE) don't tank.
Is there any truth to the claim that Red is Rob the Lawyer?
If so (which I doubt), what interest would Rob have in AFL?

Has the tank got a flat tyre?
The Port choke is more powerful than the Freo tank

Would Hunter and B Jones be having surgery if the Eagles were in the hunt for the Finals?
Red is Rob
AFL is the best code of football

Fair point but they could have easily tanked yesterday without too many raised eyebrows and the Aints kicked the first four goals.
Maybe their youngsters are too keen.

Freo won the week before ...which means the Eagles could win without sacrificing their draft position ...St Kilda are just a Vomit version of Freo

Well the Dees could be in the box seat now to land that superstar from the west.

The top three are all pretty good talents...There's a key forward from Vomitia as well as Natanui and Rich

I'd imagine though the Weagles and Freo would want the gun local talents; less chance of them fleeing the nest in future years.
West Coast was always haunted by the sceptre of Judd moving back to Melbourne. Actually his folks live near me.

...and all clubs run the risk in drafting from interstate ...which is why Melb will probably take the gun vomit

They always knew that they might lose a gun from Melbourne, hence the need to tank and secure one of the local guns.

Hehehe, Juddy the scorcerer. He'll wield his magic sceptre and help the Blues to banish those Bulldogs, and cast an evil voodoo hoodoo on the E-girls to ensure they remain bottom feeders while ever he plays the game.WideWally wrote:Red wrote:

Are clubs finally waking up to the fact that if you draft a kid from the other side of the country it is a risky business, and getting all bitter and boring about it afterwards when they go home (like happened with Jeff White, Shannon Grant and Anthony Rocca (first three names out of the hat in the 1994 draft, all at club no 2 by 1998)) doesn't hide the fact that you drafted your own problem.

after the last 6 years I figure I have to take every opportunity that presents itself. Who knows when the next one will be. It seems like years since we won a game after June
