Good start by Yarps but VVS seems to be fighting back. Captain Dreary is at it again with a SR of under 30. FFS.

So bitter, you are.I sincerely hope S.A. stuff em'out of sight
Both teams are playing on the same pitch. And SA batted when conditions were best for the batting.
And it seems you didn't see the pitch prepared by SA for the 3rd test against Pak last year. That was even more shocking than this one. Atleast this test has already seen a score of 260+. Scores in that test were 157, 183, 186 and 5/161.
So stop sooking.

50 partnership up between Dravid and VVS, perhaps their most important one since Adelaide '03.

VVS dropped by Kallis.
Was a tough chance though.

50 for VVS.
Superb innings on this track. May have elongated his career for a few more months.

When the going gets tough, VVS gets going. He doesn't have the fans at home that Tendulkar and Ganguly do, but he's a highly respected opponent. I hope he makes a hundred here.

So, apart from the Sehwag 300, the Indian batsmen have been dross in all three tests, eh?

It seems they are mentally exhausted to apply themselves. It is sad.
Re: India v South Africa, 3rd test, Kanpur, 11-15 April
Buckaroo ir probably right to a degree . . . the poor performance is at least partially due to a comedown after the Aussie series without doubt.

142-4, Ganguly grafting away and Yuvraj looking all at sea against Paul Harris -- unable to convincingly block the ball so he's trying to sweep him out of the rough and keeps on missing.

Jaffer scored 70-odd in Chennai. Dravid scored a ton in Chennai. Ganguly scored a fluent 87, VVS scored crucial 50 in this innings though I'd still agree with you regarding overall form of Indian bats in this series.tac wrote:So, apart from the Sehwag 300, the Indian batsmen have been dross in all three tests, eh?
