Never!
If it had to happen i'd rather he takes an 8fer, naturally...
10-1 :|
Jones not even opening the bowling...

BTw, I fully expect to be mauled by Geoffrey for daring to put country over county. I think he'd rather die than willingly see Yorkshire lose, to anyone, ever.

Ben Harmison's found a bit of bowling form of late. Wonder if he'll become a half-decent all rounder one of these days.
6' 5" - that's a good starting place for a bowler, says I. His batting's gone backwards, mind...

That Chopra fella's a bit of let down. Seemed on the cusp back in his under 19s days. Bit like Bilal Shafayat. Whose second XI does he play for these days?
Re: English county season 2008 (II)
Aye, Chopras a bit mediocre.
Gawd, Bops gone now 13-3 Kabir'd again.

Who the hell are these people in the Warks attack? Woakes? Tahir? Anyon? Jokers.
Derbyshire lose another wicket.

Wahay, Saj has brought his bowling arms today. 4-51 - four of the top six - and the Yorkies are on the rack.
Re: English county season 2008 (II)
More Saj love from Dello.

No, just athletic, aggressive bowlers who don't mince in and float the ball down at 78mph.
I still say England should be investing more in this bloke. He's a long way from being perfect, but he's got enough about him to be around the international scene.

Oh dear, Essex four down for buttons on a Worcestershire wet top (presumably).
Re: English county season 2008 (II)
Yeah, we're generally roobish it has to be said.
We did this against kolpak ccc t'other day.

I'm not so sure about that, 277-6 at the mo with the two saviours of English cricket at the crease. It's been overcast, warm and humid all day in Leeds, the sort of conditions you could swing a rusty cannonball, so one could argue that Saj and his chums have actually under-performed in very bowler friendly conditions.

How crap are Essex? SiJo's going to come on and take the tail and we won't have learned anything about "where he is".

Hmmm, above you in the table & in the QF of t'cup
Very crap.
I know what you mean though. I'll just use the Moores defence and say we're very 'inexperienced' in the batting...
To think I was going to give it large to B@s too....

Re: English county season 2008 (II)
Our batting is even worse than yours. Once you've got the openers, our entire middle order crumbles and then the tail hits a few.
In the past few years it's been our cracking batting that's made us competitive and this year our bowling is pretty damn good. We can never get both going at the same time.
