You really are a farking joke....in fact I'd say you're even funnier than Batty!tac wrote:Demelza wrote:Thing is, tac likes it all over the forum.
I think that if you are threatening people, like your threat to tell eowyn's life story on the forum, it is nice to make those in the open where people can see you for the scumbag that you are . . . you and Nigel prefer nasty little games behind closed doors, but that's not to my tatste . . .
Anyway, let's take you back a little while......can you remember who it was that first started sharing emails???
As for nasty little games....don't start them if you're going to get out of your depth so quickly.

Re: Indian and Pakistani forummers . . .
Returning to the thread topic ... an Indian friend of mine (Bengali lady) has chosen her Australian BF over the arranged marriage in England, to a nice young Bengali lad chosen by her parents. It has been a torrid 15 years throughout which she has been pained at the disapproval of her parents, but she has now rebuilt a relationship with them, she remains unmarried but happy in the relationship, and no further marriage arrangements seem to be planned by the parents, who have accepted her decision.
Another Indian frined of mine (male) is in a very happy marriage which was arranged by his parents.

Cheers, lardy, for sharing that. That is the kind of scenario I fear for my mate . . . 15 years of struggles to appease his parents . . .

I only know of two women who are friends who have had an arranged marriage - they're happy, but they've changed. I know of one woman who refused it and was severed from her family. Her mum has since dealt with it.
All my bloke mates are busy just shagging away like mountain goats.

Nothing like having a rub all over the place. It's fun when one can use the whole apartment - the bed, the kitchen table, the hot shower, the closet, the study table, the floor, the sofa....the works!

Re: Indian and Pakistani forummers . . .
a lot of people get angry with me for saying this ..
but one of the major problems with a cross-cultural/racial marriage is that the children might not be accepted by the extended families. It is a big drawback for them. A child born out of Indo-Australian or Indo-Japanese union will be too Indian for the Japs and too Jap for the Indians. Same for the aussies .. too Indian for the aussie and too aussie for the Indian.
Is it proper to condemn an innocent soul to this torture esp in this tumultuous world ??

Yep, majority of them. Very few managed to flout the restrictions imposed on them by their parents but they had to pay with severed ties with their parents for entire life. What did they do? Cave in?
One of my brother's friend went to Russia for higher studies. And not surprisingly came back with a Russian wife. After a few initial culture and language related hiccups she got along well with the joint family.hat is the story with bringing foreign wives/husbands back to India? What is the Indian attitude to East Asians . . .
And I can tell you its not a one-off case though there are quite a few exceptions as well like with everything else in life. Not every Indian family accepts foreign bahu.

Not angry, but puzzled at why you should think this. Whilst problems may occur at times, many such unions occur and there is absolutely no problem.

Sounded like it. The point I was trying to make was even my Muslim male friends pretty much get to shag about, whereas the women are more likely to be ruled by the old ways.

To be honest RLC, I know a lot of 'mixed race' families and children... it seems to work fine over here.

Re: Indian and Pakistani forummers . . .
let's say the child is interested in becoming a politician or a bureaucrat ..
automatically these considerations will weigh in.
well that's a stretch. Genuine families tend to be very kinda inward looking. Very negative until you get accepted kinda ..

Yeah, I would have expected that the daughters are treated far more strictly than the sons. But it seems from what my mate was saying (supported by SG) that it's pretty tough for both sons and daughters

Re: Indian and Pakistani forummers . . .
OK Buck, so you know lots of mixed-culture families with problems. I know a few, too, but I know even more single-culture families with problems, as well as a good number of mixed-culture families with no problems whatsoever.
