France have left Trezeguet, Flamini and Cisse out of their final squad.

Pretty shocked at the Trezeguet one. He's scored 20 goals this season in Serie A, second behind Del Piero with 21. The year before last, when he was last in Serie A, he scored 23 goals.

Seems mighty mighty harsh to leave him out. I'd have him over sulky, childish, Anelka.

think it might be portugals tournament...hope not cos of the ronaldo factor and them beating england twice in 2 tourneys.

normally i support italy but as i found out on a recent holiday theyre a right bunch of qunts, so will be backing holland this time IF they ditch their uber-defensive mindset and play anything approaching "total football". otherwise spain, they play good open footy.

My dark horse for the tournament would be England.

All we have to do is start some sort of conflict in mainland Europe. Maybe get Romania to invade Spain, then step in to take their place in the finals. We boast 10 players who started the Champs League final and maybe we can offer Torres an emergency asylum from the war and nationalise him. He'd have to be known as Phil Torres from now on. And become crap at football.

Unfortunately getting rid of Spain would let in Northern Ireland, not England... we have to find a way to eliminate Croatia or Russia to get a place. Croatia would probably be the safer option in terms of world stability...
