Re: English county season 2008 (IV)
Just a heads up for everybody -
The county championship starts again on Sunday and Sky are broadcasting Lancashire vs Sussex live. All four days I think. Fred is bowling and batting so we'll be able to see just how good his bowling is and just how bad his batting is.
Cheers.

If Fred shows no lingering effects of the side/ankle then he'll be pencilled in for the first test squad imo, regardless of how well or poorly he bats.*
* But some runs would be mighty handy.

Shaun Tait is heading to New Road according to the local rag as Steve Magoffin's replacement now that Fidel Edwards is unfit.
Do I laugh or cry? - that is the question.

Seems like ourselves and Hampshire are the only ones who don't get the privilege of the England boys today. A bit shit if you ask me, but what can you do? Would it have done them any harm to actually turn up for their counties and get in some form, all things considered? It's not as if Lord's is a million miles away either.

Still recovering from the thrashing we gave you, Basil?
Another wicket for SiJo as we speak. So far this season:
69 overs, 21 wickets, avg 12.
He can't be kept out of the England side for much longer at this rate. 2nd or 3rd Saffie Test for me. Got to be done.

Not sure which is rarer, Haley's comet, or a thumping from Derbyshire!
Anyway: Foxes 72 for 6: Jonah 2 for 21 off 6

I wasn't suggesting he's been dropped, you tit-flop. I'm annoyed at his injuries.

Then say something like, 'I can't believe that pile of shit Lungley is injured again, who does he think he is? Simon Jones!?!'

Or, you could GFY. Yes, that sounds like the best option.

Anyone watching the Sky game?
Sussex 100-5 on an absolute belter of a slowish pitch.
Fred 7 overs 0-9 - bowling around 5mph down on the usual pace, but accurate.
