Re: English county season 2008 (V)

I was cackling my head of watching Neil Carter (new hairdo & all) losing the plot...
Fair play to him, I didn't back him to put that final ball where he did.

Aye, and Nick Nauseating said, "And this'll take some catching" as just about every single one spiralled skywards.

Is it any wonder we're struggling to get batsmen who lack concentration when county cricket is serving up pitches like this.....
146 plays 64/9

Flaming sook. A month or so ago, you were saying 'No wonder our bowlers are f*cked, look at this pitch: **somerset gashlord strip**' It's a variance, like throughout the world.
Re: English county season 2008 (V)
I was? Don't think so...
We need more 340 plays 320 plays 250 plays 250 pitches.
None of the gash served up at Durham or Sarfend recently

N'ants 101-2. Opening pair reached 96. Then both perished in rapid succession to the demon genius that is Ian Salisbury.

Yorks skittled for 236 with 9 wickets falling to the seamers. Hants 46-0 and Rashid's on after 12 overs.
Division 2 here we come.

Looking ominous for Lanky.
Sussex 173-3 only 30 behind, and Tombstoneteeth Irongloves blasting his way ahead, 46* at present.

Rob White chucks it away again. Run-a-ball 73. Averaging 50 this season. Should've been a whole lot more. Does look classy though. Riki-boy has finally hit some form. I'm glad, he's better than O'Brien in both disciplines.

Rob Key has done a bit of batting order reversal.....

Rashid bulldozing his way through the Hants top order. 4-80 so far.
For someone supposedly having a shocker of a season, being Yorkshire's leading wicket-taker with 32 wickets @ 34 isn't all that bad.
His "rivals" for an England touring spot, Swanny and James Tredwell FFS have 21 @ 26 and 17 @ 53.
Second spinner to India?

I want him in the one day squad personally, top fielder and offers something different with the ball if the oppo are all over you. Useful bat too - good all round package.

A better option than James Tredwell? You jest.

Well, Somerset are currently trailing by 10 runs with 10 wickets remaining, against Notts, so I'm hoping there's a win there.
