2 chokes in about an hour in the pool. I was so sure Trickett was going to win, but lost it in the last 10m.....

How riduculous is Usain Bolt? He won the his heat by just jogging FFS!!!!

Now now, BBB. This isn't about UK v Aus - or is it? Wink

We'll do well to overhaul Aus in Golds tbh - we'd probably need to convert 80% of our Gold medal chances to stand a chance which is unlikely.
Who looks good in T & F for you, JKL? Your cylists seem on fire and your yachters are finishing with a wet...well, you know.

Well Idowu is the only banker for Gold..... Sotherton will probably get a medal. The comms say they aiming for 5 medals but I don't know where they are coming from.

I haven't even seen an Australian yet though.

Chokes is a bit harsh. Libby was swimming quite poorly in the 100m qualifying. She busted a gut in the Final and just had nothing left in the last 10. The German paced it beautifully and allowed Libby to be her rabbit.

I think if Libby had've been in a centre lane she may have won it.

Lisel just went out too hard.

We're nowhere near as strong in T&F as we were. There's no Kelly Holmes around this time....

Phillips Idowu is favourite for Triple Jump. Christine Ohorogu has a chance at Gold in the 400m too. God bless the Africans Wink

Probably. Obviously winning a silver medal is a still an amazing achievment. Felt like a choke at the time though......

Hackett is just starting his race now. I don't reckon he'll even qualify for hte final.

And as for Usain Bolt - that was ridiculous. He seriously jogged the last 30 metres.

Should be a CRACKING final.

FWIW, I'll be barracking for the UKs to beat the Yanks in the T & F but I think it will be all to no avail.

They should just go straight to the final between Bolt, Powell & Gay instead of fannying about with all these heats. Nobody else has a chance....

Michael Phelps has more Olympic Gold medals than India, (with it's population of 1 billion) has managed in 108 years of competing.

Quite funny. Laughing
