Laughing, but groaning at the same time.Basil wrote:Demelza wrote:Oh Jesus. Just realised that this series involves having to watch Chanderpaul bat. Oh well, at least I'll get all my ironing done.
You could also lag your loft, build an extension, and redesign your garden during the time he will spend at the crease.
It's not so much the amount of time he spends at the crease, it's all the fidgeting he does. I can't bear watching him. He makes me feel really on edge
I've just remembered something. When my son was younger, he sent an email to Flintoff on the Q and A section of the Freddie Flintoff site, asking if Chanderpaul keeps ferrets down his trousers. Flintoff replied, in a very diplomatic way!

One of the poster who is 'in the know' about Jamaican cricket has seen the pitch at Sabina Park and says the following:
Harmy will be smiling if that is the case, but so will JT.
Pitch has liberal covering of live grass on a good length - looks like a bowler's wicket. Outfield lush and green but quite uneven.
Harmy will be smiling if that is the case, but so will JT.

Give Ian Bell a bowl, it maybe the only way of him making an impact on the match.

sounds as if Harmi will not have much interest then in landing them on the pitch

Colin Croft says "England are over-rated".
Given that everyone things they are rubbish, this is bad news indeed.

Colin Croft is the Horrie of Windian cricket pundits....
I'm looking forward to uttering the phrase.... ' Darren Powell, Colin Croft.... your boys took a hell of a beating '

I think England will lose at least one Test.
Probably the first like they did in NZ, before sanity prevailed.

England need to lose this series because they need a serious wake up call.

I'm pretty sure the phone line's been disconnected for the last 2 1/2 years.

I just hope the new generation of English Cricket can answer the call and avoid being jaded by the past.

By 'new generation' do you mean Ian Bell?
All set to make his 46th test debut in around 12 hours time.

Does anyone know much about Ian Bell? Any Warwickshire fans on this forum? He's expected to debut tomorrow. Anyone know much about the youngster?

On another topic, I hope we see some decent crowds during this series.

I hear Ian Bell's family are in attendance. Keith will be there to watch his bro in action for the first time.

The recession combined with the London snow will mean that there's less English supporters who've made the trip now compared to 5 years ago.
