Colly got knocked over by a Taylor inswinger. Clipped his leg stump and Colly ran 2 before realising he had been bowled. Taylor also hooped one into Freddy that bounded off his pads into his stumps.Merlin wrote:Oi must've been rat arsed then skulls ... are you sure mate?skully wrote:Erm, you on the bong, Merls? It were a full leg-cutter that beat the outside edge of his bat (as KP tried to whip it through midwicket) and cartwheeled his off-stump. It was full, pitched, cut away, beat outside edge and banged into off stump as KP tried to work it away to leg.Merlin wrote:Yep, Taylor was phenomenal - inspired, if you like ... the ball that got KP was the best I've seen from a quick for a very long time. The perfect full, late dipping inswinger at speed. KP was doomed the moment the ball left Taylor's palm.
So who copped Taylor's full length late inswinger ...
Didn't record the highlights ...(obvious reasons) ...bugger!

IMO the best delivery Taylor bowled was the outrageous off cutter that got Prior. I have never seen a fast bowler get quite so much rotation on the ball.
That was amazing stuff.

GO WINDIES!! I fell asleep with the TV on after the 6th wicket fell. FFS.
Chris Gayle - Legend. The side's on the way up big time after he took on the captaincy. Only need someone better than Powell as the third pacer and they are a seriously good side. Samuels - what an idiot, he'd have really strengthened the side. Benn has real bite. The ball turns a lot and his height ensures bounce. He just could be the long term answer as far as spin is concerned. Taylor was brilliant, KP and Collingwood were beaten for sheer pace.'
England really need better batsmen to support KP. FWIW, I'd persist with Cook.

I wish I had been at Sabina, it really was rocking. Sabina is the loudest of the Caribbean grounds IMHO, and they really get behind the home team.

Always great to see the Aussies and the English lose, but the way WI were under-estimated by forummers, reading through the threads, this makes me enjoy the victory even more.
WI need to win the series.

I'm torn, on the one hand I don't like to see England losing a test series but would I rather they lost and the deadwood got dropped or would I rather they win with a couple of career saving 50s from Bell et al?doremi wrote:Always great to see the Aussies and the English lose, but the way WI were under-estimated by forummers, reading through the threads, this makes me enjoy the victory even more.

Tough one, but as it's the WINDIES I think I'd like them to win the series as I reckon it would be for the greater good of English cricket. I have a soft spot for the WINDIES so if we were going to lose to anyone I'd like it to be them.

Bollo.
Plenty of forummers said how the windies had improved but don't let that stop you having a whinge and making it up.
