So, another one of these mysterious occasions where England spend their innings batting on a minefield, but the pitch magically flattens out and, in the words of Broad "isn't worth bending your back on", when they bowl.

And then becomes a minefield again when they bat a second time.

Perhaps the simple truth is that they're no good.

What a disgrace of a performance.
