So, another one of these mysterious occasions where England spend their innings batting on a minefield, but the pitch magically flattens out and, in the words of Broad "isn't worth bending your back on", when they bowl.
And then becomes a minefield again when they bat a second time.
Perhaps the simple truth is that they're no good.
What a disgrace of a performance.

England's lowest ever Test score 45 all out. Looks a long way away right now.

We were a better team when Peter Moores was coach...

Do they have to commit a criminal act to be stripped of their MBEs? If so we should introduce a few to the law book very quickly.

They can shove their MBEs up their arses.
The only MBE-er who has maintained his standard of cricket since the 05 Ashes is Pietersen.
Everyone else has gone to shit.

God this is fun.
Can't wait to read the British newspapers who were on a bout this being a warm up to the Ashes.

What I'd give now to hear Michael Vaughan give a "positives" speech.

Bell and Cook on the verge of losing their "40s" averages.
Pietersen now nearly ten runs better than the next batsman.

Fark !
WTF happened?!
Went out for the day in the hope of returning to watch a fightback for a draw ....
Taylor ... 5 fer = a revelation ?
Or ....
England's batsmen = crap ?
