Dello wrote:Unluckiest final over ever from Saj there. 18 runs off the edge. You couldn't make this stuff up.
I think it must have been his variety of slower balls that the batsmen took a liking to.

He'll be pulling a Brett Lee on us soon. Fit and Fighting but no form.

Most economical bowler so far - in spite of the incredible bad luck he's been having with edges and biased umpiring.

373-6 Napier got a tonking towards the end.
Good decision to bowl Keysie. If we're aiming to live up to the senior side isn't this where they now fart along to 185 all out?

Re: New Zealand A vs England Lions, 2nd "Thing"
Last ball disappears for 6, seems appropriate.
Nathan McCullum seems to be made of similar stuff to little bro, as it was he who clubbed it to bring up an unbeaten round 50 off 26 balls.
Going to take some chasing: -
TOTAL (for 6 wickets in 50.0 overs) 373
Current Partnership: 73 ( 28 )
Not a huge collective raising of hands from the Lions attack then, as England perhaps consider searching for answers outside of the current full squad!

Not that the England "seniors" will be throwing too many stones in their collective glasshouse...

England's answer to Matt Hayden don't you know . If he played for anyone but Kent, he would be dismissed as a bit of a flash harry (which is what he is actually)

Re: New Zealand A vs England Lions, 2nd "Thing"
Key run out. Wonder if Patel will also be run out?
Better get a move on, the run rate needed is up to 8.5 an over
Now it's over 9 an over needed and they managed 3 runs from the last two overs.

Left themselves too much to do but 338 is a decent effort - puts the other bowling figures into context a bit.
Trott 94,Morgan 74, Napier 77 off 41 balls 9x4 3x6

JKL's mate 'WC Muck Skimming' was the most economical bowler of the match I see.
