KP, naturally
Jimmikins, can swing it and if he does could run through the top order more than once
Strauss, was sawn off a few times in Oz . . . currently in form and a few solid knocks and he could pressure the Oz attack

And one of those buggers has slipped into the squad named today courtesy of early runs in the CC and a leg up from his fave Warwickshire and England selector, Gashley fooking Piles.

Re: ashes dangermen as rated by opposition fans
The subject of Nathan Hauritz is a bit of a hot potato.
Nobody knows how he'll go down this summer. Will he take a bag full and become Austraya's next great spinner, or will he be handled with ease by KP and his barmy army?
I suspect he'll be quite nervous going into the first Test, a lot of pressure on a young spearhead spin bowler on his first Ashes Campaign. However, it usually comes down to the old cliché of really coming to the fore in a pressure situation and performing a glorious spell to captivate the minds of everyone watching.

I can safely say Hauritz will never be considered Australia's next great spinner.
He's so ordinary he might as well be beige.
If any top order batsmen get out to him they should hang themselves...

Hughes (I have a horrible feeling he will be epic)
Ponting (we haven't the bowlers to stop him scoring)
Johnson (fast, awkward angle, will get a couple of crucial fifties)

Re: ashes dangermen as rated by opposition fans
I'd go for these three as well, although Ponting's recent form hasn't been up to his usual standards he will surely be fired up for his final Ashes tour of England, and I suspect he will make a lot of runs. I think Johnson will take plenty of wickets, and we're hopeless at getting decent number 8s out so he (and probably Lee as well) will provide a lot of frustration to our bowlers once they're through the middle order. And I can see Hughes getting them off to a flyer in a Sehwag/Gayle type role and highlighting what England are missing at the top of the order with the relatively one-paced Strauss-Cook combination.Rob I wrote:Hughes (I have a horrible feeling he will be epic)

England's demons for this series are just as likely to come from within as they are without.

Fred's ankle.
Fred's knee.
Pietersen's Achilles.
Prior's gloves.
Jimmy's cycle.
Cook's technique.
Colly's "form".
And Hauritz running through us in the amazing way that only England can manage in gifting a total pile of shit bowler his career-best series.

London groundsmen
They did an excellent job in the T20 world cup but some of the pitches for test matches have been very flat
