That's crazy so no doubt you are absolutely correct.

Don't agree at all, we generally have great test wickets with a little bit for everyone.
Both pitches in London are some of the flattest, most boring pitches in the world.

Yes, I didn't get a bite.
All our pitches generally produce results or close to a result by the 5th day of a test match.
Good test wickets. I can't remember the last 600 plays 700 wicket in this country.
Lords helps the swing bowlers and the Oval is nice and bouncy.
Nothing low & slow and devoid of life about them whatsoever.

England and Aust have the best pitches in the world. It's why the Ashes is such a great series.

Nope, very similar to Aus.
Infact the only decks that are totally bland are some of those found in the sub-con and in recent times in the caribbean.

Fair point - they seem to have gotten over that trend of a couple of years ago of making highways for Jackie.

I think the Aus pitches have been plenty flat recently as well. England, New Zealand, and South Africa produce the most 'sporting' pitches, imo.

Lords has been among the unsporting flatbeds in tests for a decade now...

But Headingley, Edgbaston, and Trent Bridge more often than not produce a result.

England - Lords, Oval - Most roads in India have more life than the oval.
Pakistan - Every ground except perhaps Karachi.
Australia - Adelaide - undoubtedly the flattest pitch in the world, Perth
WI - Guyana, Antigua
India - Ahmedabad, Mohali

Anil Kumble scored a comfortable century.

Hmmm, lets take a look - Oval
2008
SA 194 & 318 v ENG 316 & 198-4 Eng win by 6 wickets
2007
India rack up 664 bowl England out for 345 and but for playing for the draw could have forced a result.
2006
Pakistan 504 England 173 & 298-4 - Pakistan would likely have won had they not sat in their dressing room
2005
Eng v Aus - scores of 373,367 & 335 with rain preventing a 4th innings.
2004
Eng v WI - England 470 WI 152 & 318 - England won by 10 wickets
2003
SA 484 & 229 England 604 & 110-1 England won by 9 wickets
So, where is the flat road there? Just good wickets for 5 day test cricket, benefiting both batting & bowling.
Do I need to do the same for Lords?

Hmm, Katich, Ponting and Johnson. Though as Aug said, Hauritz is shite so he's bound to take plenty.
I like the look of Siddle too.
P Hughes? P Lease.....

There's barely been a draw in Aust for the last decade. And Adelaide has only had 2 draws in 20 seasons, both of which required last day masterpieces from Mark Waugh and Viru.

There have been 4 draws at the Oval in the last 18 years. As I said above, India could have easily won that test without playing so defensively. Where are these so-called Borefests?

Statistically last 5 years it would be Pak, given the high amount of draws on roads. Or WI.
