All our pitches generally produce results or close to a result by the 5th day of a test match.

Good test wickets. I can't remember the last 600 plays 700 wicket in this country.

Lords helps the swing bowlers and the Oval is nice and bouncy.

Nothing low & slow and devoid of life about them whatsoever.

England and Aust have the best pitches in the world. It's why the Ashes is such a great series.

Infact the only decks that are totally bland are some of those found in the sub-con and in recent times in the caribbean.

Fair point - they seem to have gotten over that trend of a couple of years ago of making highways for Jackie.

I think the Aus pitches have been plenty flat recently as well. England, New Zealand, and South Africa produce the most 'sporting' pitches, imo.

Lords has been among the unsporting flatbeds in tests for a decade now...

But Headingley, Edgbaston, and Trent Bridge more often than not produce a result.

England - Lords, Oval - Most roads in India have more life than the oval.

Pakistan - Every ground except perhaps Karachi.

Australia - Adelaide - undoubtedly the flattest pitch in the world, Perth

WI - Guyana, Antigua

India - Ahmedabad, Mohali

There's barely been a draw in Aust for the last decade. And Adelaide has only had 2 draws in 20 seasons, both of which required last day masterpieces from Mark Waugh and Viru.

There have been 4 draws at the Oval in the last 18 years. As I said above, India could have easily won that test without playing so defensively. Where are these so-called Borefests?
