It's taking quite a lot of spin for half way through Day 2, tho.

Been doing that since Howitzer got excited with one around 5 ish yesterday afternoon!
The heavy roller between innings clearly ironed out any quirks ... good call from the Drunk.

Broad is a dross weasel. Imo he can't get away with the "Oh but he's still young and inexperienced" excuse anymore. This is his 18th test, and he has coaches pampering him all the time.

1/142 at Tea...session to the Aussies...
I make that 3-2 sessions in the Aussies favour.

Does anyone know Ponting's batting average for the first test of a series?

This test is all but guaranteed to be a draw now. Rain is forecast for both days 4 and 5, and the Cardiff drainage isn't the best.
On to Lord's then.........

The last session yesterday was pretty much 50-50 though.
2-2 I think.

Ponting was going at about a SR of 80, hitting only 3 4s in the innings. You really shouldn't be allowed to do that.

And after 3 plumb lbws turned down, what chance Doctrove gives a couple of shockers in favour of England? Or should this be in the Sook thread?
Marginal paraoid apprehension proves unfounded. Dr D has turned down just as many good-ish to good Pom shouts already.
As long as they are consistent, they can abolish LBW if they want. ...

Aus looking well set as of now.
(Not woofing or reverse woofing, just calling it as I see it.)
Decent bowling from Swann and Fred, not much threat or even control from the other three.
