Re: England v Australia, 1st Test, Cardiff, July 8-12 (II)
I would say any score of 600-5 is a big fat failure for test cricket but I'll hold my fire until England have batted again....

Cricinfo on Swann and Monty:
"Prodigious turn "
"what a ball - that turned and spat out of the rough, beating Haddin's massive swipe and flying to slip "

Punter will probably give Haddin a chance at a ton from here.
TBH, Aust may as well keep picking up 7rpo because it is going to be easier to score runs now than when we bat again.

You just watch; very soon it'll turn into a ripsnorter of a pitch - just about when England are batting I think!

ANyway, Clarke with 83 is the 5th highest scorer in this innings.
That's can't have happened too often before.

Have got tickets to the Lords test next week but on this evidence I'd rather bath my delicate bits in broken glass and barbed wire.

Wasn't Bilal Shafayat some sorta teenage genius? Whatever happened to him can't be all good. And he looks ugly enough as it is.

Ton to Haddin...
New record for the fourth ton in an innings in an Ashes Test for the Aussies.
