Re: Rugby Tri Series
Somewhere around Bridgeman Downs has a nice public course and it would be on your way to the Glasshouse Mts.

There's grass tees or mats at the Vic Park range horrie - you could follow the practice with a few holes.

I always found it funny that people play down goat tracks. Have you ever played St Andrews in winter?

...nope...too damn cold for arthritic old bones - tho of course I would love to play there in the scottish 'summer'..
goat tracks for me are hilly, poorly laid out and have extremely poor fairways

A mate of mine, a very traditional, conservative fellow who rarely offers a contrary opinion and a bloke who has played most places of note is scathing of the Old Course.

aye, it is. You could also give the shop at North Lakes a call. The practice facilities are good, the course is good & you should get access OK. It's on the way to Caboolture.

These things are in the eye of the beholder. I should add that I've not played any of the great courses in the UK or Ireland so if it reads like sour grapes, it probably is.

Re: Rugby Tri Series
I believe you. But it's a qunt of a course. Though if you use a seven iron the whole way around, apart from the 17th, the score card looks good in the pool room.
