Re: Rugby Tri Series
And your views on the ref?
I don't rate him, not because of his performance last weekend, I just don't like his style ........ and no, that's not nudge, nudge........
I thought du Preez took the ball out of the side of the scrum right under his nose, I thought Kaino was penalised early on for coming around the side when the ball was clearly out, sitting unattended behind du Plessis's feet.
They tend to be the things that annoy me about that bloke ... I feel he misses some really obvious stuff that occurring in an area where he should be looking. Were the ABs robbed? No. The better side won.

About the most dangerous thing on Earth you can do is walk into a Kiwi pub and argue against a favourable Kiwi scrum penalty.
It's one of my favourite things to do!!

Well unless the Boks smashed themselves up last weekend it's impossible to ignore their effectiveness right now. They really understand how to apply pressure - the set pieces, particularly the opposition throw at the lineout, getting their men under the high ball ball that they've put up, Bakkies scragging in some way or another, rush up out to in defence, a great line in the kick chase, Broussow at the stoppage, Steyn's goalkicking du Preez's speed and intelligence ............. I thought their World Cup win wasn't truly deserved at the time but I've got no doubt they deserve to have the title right at the moment.
Our blokes will have their bright moments in this series but we're truthfully the third of three.

I think Aus will pose a different challenge, trite I know. I think the Wallabies will try and move the ball away from the breakdowns but this might be difficult against this Bok pack. So far not everything has come together and we have left too many points on the table. But sometime everything will work and someone is going to cop a pounding.

Re: Rugby Tri Series
Their set pieces have always been good. Too good unfortunately when they have the game plan and discipline to take advantage of them.
We certainly don't have the razzle dazzle to fark them over.

Reckon they improved endurance levels amongst their fatties as well. Less errors & ill discipline as the game closes out.

So will Aus be up to it?
Just noticed it starts the same time as the Ashes test.

That does sound like a more enjoyable prospect.
But I live in hope.

Thing is no-one expected the Wallabies to win the Bledisloe let alone the Tri-Nations.
Most expected the Aussies to win the Ashes by at least two tests.

Normal service resumed. All Blacks win by a point.

No one had the balls to go for it.
We seemed to be playing for the penalty at the end there. Someone needed to step up and attempt a dropped goal - death or glory.
The Kiwis have had the Bledisloe for seven years now - I say we round up every Nzer in Australia and deport them en masse.
