Just wait until we bat! Can't believe the Poms. All they have to do is bat sensibly and pray for rain, but no, let's actually try to win a match with stupid farking shots off a piss poor bowling attack. What's the test record for wides in a test match?
There you go, you can bat to your hearts contents now.
The way the Aus batting has been that will be about Tea tomorrow.
You're optimistic.
I'm allowing for a rain delay
Hehehehe!

A disgrace, really.
Channel nien are just a bunch of qunts..FFS it is the Ashes!!!!!
And the irony is it will be shown to the last ball in England..
Yep, we'll see every humiliation. BTW we've got Warney commenting on Sky, is he doing your commentating as well?

I think he's on nein. Been ducking out to the pub every now and then but stuck with crocinfo at the mo. I suppose I've gotta get used to 'bowler to Katich, no run".

The news and 'The Nanny' (Gem) is on Nine at the moment.
Then the cricket is their third priority.

Seeing as England were all out prior to the official close of play can Ponting still be fined, banned, shot or something.

crocinfo gets it right
"Anderson to Katich, no run, good, decisive crabbing from Katich across to off stump, gets in a good position to defend under his eyes "

Thing is, their bowling just doesn't look dangerous, so I reckon it's England's to throw away.

All time great material.

Testify! I hope so. The arrogant qunt deserves it.Henry wrote:Bradman wrote:Henry wrote:Surely Ponting can't avoid a ban yet again after another woeful over rate today.
Asked the question earlier. I'm just hoping and praying he get's binned. Then we could have a real captain. Like my ten year old son, my mother or some park bench junkie who bummed a cigarette off me today.
Clearly the ICC aren't serious about over rates at all if Ponting escapes a ban yet again.
Anyone ever got a Test hat-trick on their borthday before?SG wrote:Its also Siddle's 26th b'day today.
It gives his heads a chance to talk to each other.Bradman wrote:Said it before and I'll say it again. Go to lunch under thirty overs and get docked some runs; go to tea under again and get docked again; finish the day under and bowl the extra overs, get docked again and captain to miss the next match.
I mean it's Ponting FFS it's not like he makes any productive use of the extra time.
Or in HD. And apparently the anti-siphonuing laws won't change too much. Piss Weak.Henry wrote:So channel Nine have three channels now, and they still can't broadcast the biggest cricket series in the world live.

70-30 Australia at the moment. England need at least three wickets in the first session tomorrow to stay in this.

100 runs shy of a decent score on that pitch.

Stauss- Loose shot
Cook- Good ball, typical dismissal for him
Trott- Loose-ish drive to a goodish ball
Pietersen- Good ball, but quite loose as well
Collingwood- good ball, but could have left it
Bell- Running out of partners, out going for quick runs
Prior- Loose shot- the ball hit off stump and he was trying to on drive.
Broad- Good ball first up
Swann- Thought he could have shown more application with Bell out there.
Anderson- Cant blame him. Going for the runs.

Wallace, are you there tomorrow?
There? At the Gabba?
No. I'm not going to the Gabba. I haven't been to a test match there since the 1983/84 series against Pakistan when I saw Hafeez Handmissing in action. I just go to Sheffield Shield matches these days.
Are you going? Hope the weather behaves & you have a good day.

With all this talk about Ponting and the run rate i can just imagine him letting England off the hook later on in this series by bowling Hussey or something crazy like that.

Re: Australia v England, 1st Test, Brisbane, Nov 25-29, 2010
Had to go out to a tedious family get-together when England were 8 down. What a grouse day the first day of the Ashes turned out to be!!!!!
Outstanding stuff from Siddle. I ducked up the road for some petrol and heard the hattrick on the radio - so I'll happily claim my part in that piece of history.
And Doherty was quite impressive. 2 for 2 for GSC. Now just p!ss Midge off for Bolly and the attack will be right. The big dumb Wozzie was absolute tosh.
So do we have a new catch cry - "no Victorians to be picked to play for Australia unless they are named Siddle"?

To be fair to Ponting , there were 4 UDRS referrals today which probably takes up about 12 minutes. Not to mention 10 wickets.
He won't get banned.
