I can easily see him despatching the Aussie attack to all parts, mainly over the stands.

What's he like to leftie quicks? Midge and Bolly might give him some lifting stuff on off going away to slips.

It's generally accepted that his weaknesses are more mental than technical, while he seems to have gone some way to dealing with the "runs under pressure" issue in recent months his ordinary record against Australia without a hundred to his name is still a hurdle to overcome, whatever the standard of attack he's facing. That top score in the decider last year was a start though, even though we still had a go at him at the time for getting out and not going on to get a century.

Another useful opening stand here. There's been a fair few false starts for Bangladeshi cricket at this level and they're still well short in the seam bowling department but if they stick with these young players they could become a competitive side before too long. Tamim and Shakib have the potential to become their first genuine global level stars.

Although obviously I'm supporting England it's quite frustrating to see such a talented side failing to deliver like this. Couldn't have hoped for a better opening partnership on this pitch and then they go from 126-0 to 185-5.

Tamim has made 503 in 4 matches v.England. He is now the leading Bangladeshi runscorer v. England.

Shahzad up around and over 90 mph pretty consistently. Maxed at about 92 mph.

Not tearing up any trees, but there's something there to work with that England are seriously lacking: pace.
