At least when Packer ran the show, nein was occasionally worth watching.

Cricket re-enactments were a bit lame but the story was pretty good. A lot of enmity between Crappelli and Greigy.
2.09 million tuned in to part 2. TGW would be stoked if still around.

I never realised how much double Ds played a part in my ruination
Between Delvene and Daisy Duke I scarcely had a clean pair of socks

And the skimpy bikinis DD used to wear on the Hoges show were indeed sticky sock material.
Strop certainly came across as a major part of the eventual success of WSC.

He's also one of the country's great tax avoiders.
But the hangover cure was a classic. An oyster, a raw egg, salt, pepper, Vegemite and beer.

It took till this morning but I finally twigged: 'Gavin' was a fictional version of Packer lackey Christopher Forsyth, author of 'The Great Cricket Hijack' and the mouth behind that classic utterance after day 1 of the first 'Supertest' that the WSC game was superior to the official Test because more fours had been hit.

surely they'd be composites (and/or blank canvases) of several characters around the time
