I caught the first session live. Steve Smith actually looked in terrific touch, and Quiney continued to bat like Australia's most underrated batsman. Steyn and Kleinveldt were the pick of the Saffie bowlers.

Many sarcastic comments in the crowd about Phil Hughes's new and improved technique after his dismissal.
