And Woakes top scores, after a couple of early lives. I said we should have picked him as a batsman last time…

So, Tommy’s going to come in at 11, or not at all.

Warner has had damn near the most appalling match in memory - a pair and a sitter of a drop

Some Squid Gamers in the crowd… England’s tour is looking rather like said game of last man standing.

Well done to ScoBo for surviving a tough 21 mins with Smudge. Another 150 tomoz would be good.

Agreeing with myself, Aus would be very happy with a 300 lead from this position.
I don't think the ball will do much this arvo as it was doing last night.

Fantastic bowling by Wood, although poor strokes from Head and Smith put us in the shit.
England will feel they can chase 260, but another 30 may break their hearts.

I imagine Fleet Street will arc up over the Woakes no-ball that "dismissed" Carey.
Have to say I did say to myself "Shirley Pistol can't overrule on that evidence"? I have seen ones like that called fair before.

Root thoroughly Joe'd by Boland grubber - may have been whistling Always Look On the Bright side of Life as he walked off

Jeez that de- escalated quickly. 123/9
4-0.
Australia would argue 4.9- 0, but hey so it goes.
And just noticed this is Day 3 only?

Shame we don’t credit the draws in the scoreline as per Ryder Cup etc. as 4.5–0.5 looks somewhat better than 4-0.
Really struggling to come up with names we should keep going forwards, as far as the batting goes. Will do a debrief and look ahead to our upcoming thrashing by the Stanford Superstars shortly…

Essentially 56 all out after a 50 opening stand.
They need to watch South Africa, who despite a similarly ordinary batting line-up on paper won a series with two tricky chases done comfortably. They’ll be doing the same over here this late summer, will Root still be in charge by then?

Make that 10-124....Wood and Broad both bowled backing off to square leg and honestly who the hell could blame them? An absolutely appalling effort after their best start and best day (at least the daylight part) of the series.
From loss of wicket 1 to 10 this was worse than Melbourne.

The Root ball was unlucky but the rest basically headed for the airport after that.
A few of them need to be sent back to their counties for a while, not that playing in the Darren Stevens Shield in April will do their Test games much good, but that’s another issue… time to give some new names a chance to impress.

Warner more drops than runs, Kwaja also a double failure, Lyon ONCE AGAIN a spectator in the fourth innings Horrie - Australia won in three days with about eight and a half players.
