205 ao. The Irish can now show what they are made of.
Look for a few more 3/4-empty grounds if they pull it off though.

I'm backing the Bangles' spinners to just get them over the line.

Depends how Niall goes, the rest are crabs but if he can smack 40, they may have some leeway.
Re: World Cup 2011
Porterfield is a decent orthodox batsman. Thing is, they don't have to go like a house on fire to win. Just take the ones and twos.
Ed Joyce should also be capable of a contribution, if he hasn't gone to hell.
And any team with Trent Johnston in will give it a fair go.
The Irish SHOULD be able to do it. Not sure if they will, it's likely to be a close-ish thing I think. Which the WC needs - only been one of those so far.

Thing is that if they set out to crab it, they'll liable to get bog down and go through a couple of collapses. I'd at least let O'B(wk) have a stab.
Re: World Cup 2011
That's true. It's like "playing for a draw" in football. Unless you are Italian (and possess a couple of sneaky hackers), you are as often as not likely to box yourself into a corner and lose.
But I wasn't proposing a "one off the over for the first 15" policy.

Was that a short over? Umpires have all this technology available to them these days but they still cannot reliably count to six.

Anyone care to retract their vitriol against Messers Hilditch and Nielsen yet - while there is still time to save a little bit of barracker's face?

Aw, shame. I thought I might be getting out of bed to a momentus Paddy victory. And at 5-151 with 14 overs to go, they should've sh!t it in. Oh well, well done to the Bangers for defending a small total.

Lankans v Wacksters tonight. Could be a cracker - more likely to be a one sided doddle for the Lankans.

Why are the DJs playing the official song of the 2010 Football World Cup in South Africa during breaks in play?
Now i'm no Lawyer, but wouldn't that be some sort of copyright infringement?

Re: World Cup 2011
I dislike the Fox Sports 'highlights' of games in this World Cup. Most of the games are dull enough as it is, but to dedicate four hours to each replay of a game is far too long. The highlights should only be an hour for each game.
