Re: Rugby Leeeeeg 2011
That's just one aspect of it.
Canberra was crucified by the NSWRL for being 50 000 over the salary cap early in the 1990s. Every contract was declared void, and they had to rebuild, almost from scratch.
Melbourne blew it by over a million for years and got thrashed with a week-old lettuce leaf. And there are too many rumours of cash payments (yes, in some cases literally in brown paper bags) as some clubs for them to be untrue.

Ian Schubert never was one of the sharpest tools in the shed. He was always a tool but.

Farah having a sook about the refs in the Wests Tigers/Storm game today.
Looks like no expansion plans until 2015

I never believed they'd do it because the various bodies in the game hate each other too much, and here's the compromise. And in a further change to programming, the NRL is planning a blockbuster weekend of rugby league early in the season with a double-header and two triple-headers.
On the Friday night, two games will be played at Eden Park, the super stadium in Auckland that holds a crowd of 55,000.
On the Saturday afternoon and evening, a triple-header will be played at Suncorp in Brisbane involving the Broncos, Titans and North Queensland Cowboys.
And on the Sunday afternoon and evening, ANZ Stadium will stage a triple-header involving six traditional Sydney rivals.
File under B for Big Fkn Woopee.
so who will be the 3 teams drawing the short straw to play at Eden Park?
Assuming the 6 "traditional Sydney rivals" are Saints v Dogs; Souths v Tigers, Manly v Parra, that leaves Sharks, Penrith, Canberra, Newcastle, Storm and Easts to play in the other games.

Farah is constantly looking to take short cuts by running into players going back on side and getting a penalty. He is a massive qunt so sucked in that the refs aren't buying it.

Chief is shat off. She was agonising over the Tigers v Dogs game, picked the Tiges then changed her mind and clicked the Dogs, but in her hurry to get on with her busy Friday night of footy barracking, forgot to save the change. So she got stuck with the Tigers. There was some stamping of little feet.

Broncs have always been wet track duffers and it has been particularly cold in Perth. Big Mal will be creaming himself over GI and Taylor.

Comeback surge by the Chief, now 2 out of 4. She has returned to her 5th spot in the table. She's still filthy on cocking up her Dogs tip.

Ricky Stuart about to name the NSW side for Origin III. Given the number of injured players, they might name 22 players

Re: Rugby Leeeeeg 2011
Man, Gallen is in the form of his life at the mo. But geez there was some god-awful defence in some of the games. Whoever no. 20 was for the Titans simply watched as Gallen went over under the posts right by him. Slimeys and C0cks were also dreadful in defence.
Titans, Slimeys and C0cks players all look like they have their heads on the end-of-season trip already.
