Re: World Cup 2011 (II)
The rest of my posts for the WC may as well be snippets of Zaltzman...
http://blogs.espncricinfo.com/zaltzman/archives/2011/03/twenty_utterly_crazy_minutes.php#more
Shoaib Akhtar’s opening spell had been a microcosm of his career, a mixture of brilliance, wastefulness, and underachievement. He clean bowled Brendan McCullum with a perfect off cutter, beat a clutch of outside edges, touched 90mph, bowled three no-balls and conceded 14 from the resulting free hits, and needlessly hurled a ball so far over Kamran’s head for 4 byes that the beleaguered gloveman would have needed both a giraffe on a ladder and a functioning pair of hands to stop it. Neither of which, sadly, were at his disposal.

"Yeah, in la-la land. They top the group with 7 points!"
They can still fail to qualify for the quarterfinals.

You wanna see blue birds flying over the mountains again?
Actually that was a quote from some movie where an old coot, as he died, said this in his death rattle:
Ah wanna, Ah wanna, Ah wanna, Ah wanna................pussy, pussy, pussy, pussy.

And I can still get called up to the England squad. Not gonna happen though!

Sounds like a freakish film, was it a genuine snuff movie?
Re: World Cup 2011 (II)
No a surprisingly funny movie (I thought) given that we'd rented it for the college dorm expecting soft-pron. Young Doctors In Love.

Dello posts on the Cricinfo website, his gushing fanwanking is embarrassing:
Dello wrote:Posted by NUFC-OMS on (March 09 2011, 09:09 AM GMT)I'm bitterly disappointed that the ECB has let the nation down again by failing to include the countries premier one-day bowler, namely Sajid Mahmood. With his ability to bowl at searing pace, maintain a McGrath-esque line and length, and of course his world renowned deceptiveness with the slowerball, Saj would have sparked England into life. We will never amount to much as long as we leave our best players at home I'm sure Saj will be firing on all cylinders come the County season and force his way back into contention. You'll see ECB.

Or possibly Sajid Mahmood.

So we have not only allowed the Irish a great shot at respectability but we also allowed the Dutch a shot at dictating terms at us. FFS, how crap is this Indian lineup?
definitely the team that does not deserve a QF seat for sure.

So it's official. Yuvraj is now just about a minnow basher who can't hold a bat against bigger teams.

Tied with England and played slightly less crappily than us against each of the minnows. SA match will be the big one, India could still top the group if they win it.Batman wrote:So we have not only allowed the Irish a great shot at respectability but we also allowed the Dutch a shot at dictating terms at us. Not guilty. Nufcoms sounds like he's taking the piss.
If it was me, it would've been from the heart. Via the balls.
