I remember them being in the old first division because they were in probably my first ever Panini sticker album.

Swansea City are one of those, while Parma president Tommaso Ghirardi has claimed Borini will be heading to the Serie A club following the Championship decider.

has Man U considered litigation, considering the possibility that JGK's intention to watch the game live probably resulted in their loss?

I made it to the game. Amazing night. As a man u fan it was a bit like being blown to death by Angelina Jolie. Not a bad way to go. We had front row seats on about the quarter way. We got on the screen at the stadium a couple of times too. Oh, and I had a slash next to Andy Cole.

Since then i have basically been drinking non stop with the odd shopping trip to pick up bribes... Err presents for the family. Head home tomorrow.

Paul Scholes retires. Definitely a ManUnited legend and one of my favourite players. Also probably one of the most talented footballers produced by England in recent times.

He had a famous greyhound named after him - Droopys Scholes, winner of the 2004 English Derby.

Well, it is a bit of an honour.

But was he as good as Droopys Cahill, Droopys Carvalho, Droopys Deco, Droopys Desailly, Droopys Juninho, Droopys Kewell, Droopys Kuyt, Droopys Maldini, Droopys Merson, Droopys Okocha, Droopys Ruud, Droopys Sammer, Droopys Scolari, Droopys Shearer, Droopys Torres, Droopys Totti or Droopys Vieri?

Most players only have a couple of good attributes to be fair, unless they're Messi or Ronaldo perhaps...

We don't produce enough midfielders who are good on the ball, so it's fair enough that we talk up those who are. Scholes was the anti-Beckham in a way, avoided the spotlight whenever possible, let his football do the talking and stepped away from representing his country at an early age rather than still being desperate for a recall at 36! But the two of them along with the Nevilles etc. formed the home-grown core of a team that has dominated English football for a decade and a half. Now there's only Giggs left of the old guard, he's probably only got one more season in him, and however outstanding Barcelona were it still reinforces the feeling that United won the title somewhat by default this season. Can an almost 70-year-old manager find what it takes to replace these players and retain domestic supremacy, never mind closing the gap on the best European team in decades?

Scholes was the best English player since at least Gascoigne. And seeing that Gazza never really fulfilled his potential maybe you could go back all the way to Charlton.

If Man Utd had played him from the start in the final they may have stood a chance.

I wonder how long it took Blatter to write out the statement from the FIFA Ethics Committee that cleared him of any corruption in the World Cup voting process? Did he even bother writing it out?

Where are the shoe throwers when we need them?

Only a handful of countries supported The FA's stance against Blatter's uncontested re-election. Time to walk away - we don't need the World Cup, we're not going to host it or win it in the next few decades. If UEFA kick us out as well, let's see how they all cope without the commercial power of the Premier League and the players that are contracted to its clubs.

As for Northern Ireland and Wales not supporting us, the FA and SFA should cut all ties with them (sorry Swansea, your Premier League career would be over before it started, enjoy playing against TNS in front of one man and his dog!)

On your bike, beamer.

Silly little man.

The Swans and Cardiff will likely join the FA if their Premier League place was in jeopardy.
