Well, that's all a bit grim.
Sounds like a bit of a green top, until the Wozzies 2nd innings.

Ex Vixen Evan Gulbis top scored on 168 n.o. That would make Shippy cry in his cornflakes
Re: Australian Domestic Cricket 2011/12
Bird looks like he might be a useful pickup from the Dubbers.

Re: Australian Domestic Cricket 2011/12
Tassie continued its demolition of Victoria in the Futures League, winning by an innings & 95 runs. Bird continued his good form by taking a Michelle in the second innings to give him 9 for the game. Young local, Rainbird impressed with 7 wickets for the game. Handscomb was the only consistant performer for Vic.
Re: Australian Domestic Cricket 2011/12
Bird, Rainbird, Handscomb........They're not REAL names, right?

Re: Australian Domestic Cricket 2011/12
Bird is from NSW. Rainbird is a common name in Tassie especially in the Derwent Valley & Handscomb is a Vixen. Not sure what you are suggesting here.

Re: Australian Domestic Cricket 2011/12
The WACA State Match Committee has named a 13-man Retravision Warriors squad for the opening Sheffield Shield match of the 2011-12 season against the PKF Tasmanian Tigers at the WACA Ground.
Star batsman Mike Hussey has been selected in the squad but will drop out if his Chennai Super Kings reach the semi-finals of the Champions League T20 tournament in India.
Australian Test and one-day team mate Mitchell Johnson has also been named and will use the match to prepare for the upcoming tour of South Africa.
With Mitchell Marsh unavailable due to his commitments with the Australian T20 side in South Africa, new recruit Travis Birt and youngster Tom Beaton will battle it out for a berth in the top six.
Birt has been in excellent form during the pre-season, impressing in trial matches and in his debut for Claremont-Nedlands in their Retravision Shield encounter against Perth last weekend, going to stumps unbeaten on 48.
Marcus Harris is set to play his first match at the WACA Ground since his record-breaking 157 in the final home match of season 2010-11 against Queensland in March.
Michael Johnson will take the gloves after playing in the final two Shield matches last summer, while paceman Matt Dixon, who made his first class debut in the last game of 2010-11 against the RTA SpeedBlitz Blues at the SCG, has also retained his spot on the back of a solid pre-season.
The Tigers are the reigning Sheffield Shield champions after defeating the Blues in last summer's final at Bellerive Oval and they will provide a stern early season test for the Warriors.
Play commences daily at the WACA Ground at 10.30am, with all of the action broadcast live and exclusively through 91.3 Sport FM. Regular updates can also be heard on 720 ABC Local Radio and Grandstand Digital.
