Re: Australian Domestic Cricket 2011/12
Wade is now pushing hard for a Test debut, with Haddin obviously set for the chop at the end of this series. Paine may miss his chance through a couple of silly and ill-timed injuries.

Re: Australian Domestic Cricket 2011/12
Fair defensive effort by the Spivs overnight, defending a gettable 262 just when Dan Christian looked like he might snatch it for the Barrels. Starc bowled well early then Bolly cleaned 'em up at the end.
The Barrels Crosthwaite has a mouth on him, and was giving it to Starc big time during his crabbish topscore of 72.

You can take the boy out of Victoria, but you can't take the Victoria out of the boy

As i predicted, Tassie are struggling. That batting lineup was always going to be under pressure. The suprise is that Herrick has done the damage. This guy looked totally innocuous in the One dayer.
Re: Australian Domestic Cricket 2011/12
Only Butters and Hilf (both with the bat) assisting Doolan's efforts to keep Tassie in the game.
Why doesn't Doolan play for the Banjos?

Vics skittled for 190 in their secong innings. Wade once again top scored with 80.
Hilfy did the damage with 5/44.
Tas need 318 on the final day to win.

Re: Australian Domestic Cricket 2011/12
A highly contentious decision at 3-38, when D Hussey appeared to be caught behind, may yet decide this match. The umpire at the bowler's end conferred with the square leg umpire to confirm that the ball had carried, but the square leg umpire was unsighted or for whatever reason could not confirm the 'out' decision, so the batsman was not out. A very odd non-dismissal indeed. The famously bland George Bailey lost his cool completely and may be reported.

George is not having a good day. He also dropped a couple.

If we can get to stumps without loss, we have an outside chance. Forcast weather tomorrow is fine but not as hot as today. Should be ideal batting conditions.
Re: Australian Domestic Cricket 2011/12
Stumps with Tassie 0/23 needing 295 tomorrow. Could be a close thing if Tassies middle order can find some form.
Re: Australian Domestic Cricket 2011/12
Injury reduced Wossies scored 229 in the Ryobi. Young Billy the Kid took a Michelle.
Qld have a pretty inexperienced side also but i think they could go pretty close.

229 won't be enough. The Wozzie bowling attack is weak.

Aye, Coulter-Nile leaves a big hole but Qld have a few fringe players playing. I think it will be pretty close.
Re: Australian Domestic Cricket 2011/12
Shield Cricket cheapened ever further by a David Warner century. He's not bad against average attacks when the ball isn't bouncing above knee height, i'll give him that.

Qld look to be doing it easy at this stage. WA without Coulter-Nile & Hogan look to be reduced to pop-gun status.
Re: Australian Domestic Cricket 2011/12
what a shocking scorecard from the Vics. Good thing we had that 1 big partnership or else we'd be up shitcreek

Subi Clark scored a ton in Grade cricket yesterday
