1st innings points to the Vix with 8 wickets in hand...a little brazen is going the tonk and ginger is farning the strike to him...looks like the Vix will try and set up a decent lead and send the dud dubbers back in

Heazlewood has not been impressive either...the dud dubbers real worry is whether their skipper can take wickets or make runs...O'K is starting to look like the Chips' Simmo

Hopefully augurs well for the Tests in Saffieville.Henry wrote:Ryan Harris takes Queensland to victory over Tasmania with 7/60.
Spivs shaping nicely for the Spoon in 11-12. Currently 2-51 in 2nd innings as they lamely attempt to erase the 227 1st innings deficit.

Early days. Tassie traditionally start slowly. The cream will rise....eventually.

Re: Australian Domestic Cricket 2011/12
We (Tassie) have certainly started poorly. Queensland look good with Harris in the side ... but he won't be there for long.
Have there been any comments on the Gabba pitch? I note that after the Queensland openers put on 150, they lost 10-137; then Tassie lost 10-129 and 10-130. Did it start to fall apart after the first session and a half, or was it all bad batting?

Aye, Katich has taken 3 wickets for 43 (best spinner's stats this year, on a road) and made 130 runs. Even horrie should be calling for his return to the Test side.

Re: Australian Domestic Cricket 2011/12
Good question. Hopefully JI will be more interested in his performances relative to those of his competitors rather than how many growth rings he has acquired or how uncomfortable Michael Clarke feels with him in the same dressing room.
addit: I note that Katich now has 100 FC wickets at an average of 35 ... he really has been under-bowled for most of his career

Re: Australian Domestic Cricket 2011/12
Fleas and Roarer put on 200+ to get the Blues well away from an innings shut-out, but then both get out in quick succession. At 133 in front at Tea with 4 wickets in hand, just a little more needed to ensure the Vomits don't take full points.
