Re: Australian Domestic Cricket 2011/12
Mitch Marsh looks class. I hope he becomes a Davo-like allrounder for Aus. And what's the deal with Wozzie fast bowlers having to have 9 or more letters in their surnames?? Rimmington, Behrendorff and Edmondson?? ![Shocked](https://2img.net/i/fa/i/smiles/icon_eek.gif)
And the GCS keeps adding to his FC credentials with 140 odd today in the Shield at Bankstown. Young Maddinson got 92 in a 1st wicket partnership of 230-odd.

Not so fast, BD. Banjos are falling in a bit of a heap at 6-166 off 37.Big Dog wrote:Qld look to be doing it easy at this stage. WA without Coulter-Nile & Hogan look to be reduced to pop-gun status.

Marsh is meant to be a batsman who bowls, isn't he? Kallis should be the guy who inspires him.

He's looked really good with the ball in the current Circular Saw game, Trev (3 wickets) but failed with the bat. Strong genes in that family.

Aussie fans should care (and be concerned) that David Warner is a Shane Watson heart muscle strain away from making his test debut in South Africa.

I almost threw up earlier today when I heard O'Keeffe, between contrived Precious Pup wheezes, insisting that Warner was clearly Test class and that he should not be far from a call-up.

Steve Smith averages over 50 in the Sheffield Shield with the bat. Probably with the ball as well for that matter.
I think the days of it being almost a given that a good shield player will become a good international player are long over.

I think it's safe to say McDermott junior is never going to emulate his dad and play for Australia.
125kph dobber, really. If he didn't look exactly like his dad you'd say he was Adam Dale's son rather than Craig's.

I'm reserving my judgement on Warner
He made a big score in the Future's League last year and one of the umpires in the game reckoned he batted perfectly ...no slogs ...right shots for every ball ...good defence ...and the ability to leave the balls that should be left
I know it's only Future's League but it's the application that is important
He was scathing on a couple of others who made runs in the same game

Would have been worse if that cheating qunt Hussey had done the accepted thing & taken the word of the fielder on a caught behind. Instead he stood his ground & as the squareleg Umpire was unsighted, he got the benefit of the doubt.
The normally affable George Bailey did his nut so it must have been pretty obvious.

Six states quake when JGK mentions their name. Especially if favourably.

He's clearly got a better technique and brain than Fuse - granted so does Chris Martin.

Tassie struggling.
Dalton and Butters will have to step up on their first innings achievements to get the Tigers within a roar.
