It's amazing that Chris Simpson stayed on Queensland's books for so long. I mean look at his stats, FFS!

He's like Australia's answer to Adrian Shankar, only Simpson is genuine....and a worse cricketer.

Sad news regarding Geeves and Carseldine, both of whom would probably have played Test cricket but for untimely injuries.

Simpson the Queenslander was a fine fieldsman and fierce hitter ... his bowling was probably marginally less penetrating than that of Doherty, Heal, and a host of similar dart purveyors. He might have been useful at T20 with his explosive hitting ability.

No. He has never played AFL for Port Adelaide or Carlton.

...... so I sent off an email to the Queensland Cricket Association advising them that in 2011/12 they should change the name of the team. Forget about the Bulls. As we now have both Forrest & Burns in the squad, they should call them the Bushfire Brigade.

Anyway, they replied & told me to never, ever, ever contact them again.


Bet they use it in their promos.

The Wozzie FLers and 2XIers managed to let GCS and Mark Higgs score tons against them last year ...not necessarily a sign of anything

So both Chris Gayle and David Warner have been signed by the Sydney thunderqunts.

They spent half their salary cap on the two of them.

Wozzies offered Gayle $250K ...he counter offered ...Wozzies told him to farque off

At least this event isn't as crass as the IPL with a public meat market auction, where the wages are on display for all.
