He's the Australian equivalent of JP Duminy.

Duminy has played at least two Test matches of substance, and (whether he has fulfilled his potential or not) looks to have real ability as a batsman, fieldsman, and maybe even as a part-time bowler.

Francis was a gormless klutz who trod on his own hands when fielding, never rolled his arm over in Shield cricket because of his inability to do so, and whose batting was at best a mixture of turgid mis-timed defence AND graceless ineffective slogging.
