That's it though. I wouldn't expect any team to act any other way. Heck, I didn't expect Dhoni to do what he did today. But happy he did.

Not by me, you won't. For f*ck's sake, read the last f*cking three pages.
Oh I agree you won't. Unfortunately, what you say or don't say doesn't matter much because in my opinion this English team is certainly not going to give the oppo a chance like this.
Brass Monkey wrote:I thought Laz's insinuation of moral victories was a little off. You're going every way to qualifying it.
Please lay off the inane accusations, not worth you. I've already said England are - if they win - deserving winners, and have outplayed us regardless of that Bell decision.

Anyway he's back. Watch him get out in a couple of overs now.
He assumed mid-pitch that it was a boundary. It was out, by all interpretations.
Well we don't know whether he thought it was 4 or not which is why My post should have said 'if'. He either thought it was 4 and started walking off, therefore he's out. Or he ran 3, tapped in, didn't attempt another run and started jogging off for tea, which I thought couldn't be out? I'm not sure though.
Bell's saying that the umpire called over anyway. Which muddies the issue even more. If this is the case, surely none of the above matters and it's not out.
We won't really know until we have all the facts.
Pretty sure neither of the umpires called over. They wouldn't have given him out if that was the case. To me Morgan's reaction was the interesting one. He made damn sure he was in his crease.

Inane accusations? Well, you're lobbing around hypothetical situations: "Ohh England would have done this... of course if England blahdy blah they'd blah blah made up stuff I'm pretty much passing off as a done deal"
Trott out, looked all at sea. He should've only batted had we needed him. 300 is still quite a way off.

Rauf called over after the bails were taken off. Morgan knew Bell had f*cked it. So did Bell, halfway down the pitch.

Has the makings of a good test now.
BTW, top knock by Bell.

Oooh Sreesanth and Prior in a massive twat-off. Who's the twattier? Why do we have to have a winner?
Re: England v India, 2nd Test, Trent Bridge, 29 Jul-2 Aug, 2011
Well we're going to lose anyway. 2 days of sunshine to chase 300 odd on a pitch that seems to be getting easier to bat on. Swann's gone mental, Jimmy and Bres have not done a lot and we can't expect Broad to pull hattricks out of his arse every innings.
All of the "India have lost, game over" blubbering a few pages back looked a bit over the top. Some handsome chap pointed it out at the time.

That makes sense. The insuation here was that over had been called before he wandered down the pitch.

Don't give up hope yet Lara ....... our tail can still put on plenty, so we should have a lead well over 300. I wouldn't expect Swanny to have another innings as bad as his last one bowling, and Jimmy had a quiet first innings at Lords. He may still wreak havoc second time around.
Sure the pitch has flattenned out since Friday but on day 4 should be starting to deteriorate a bit .....

What an amazing test this has been. Fantastic advert for test cricket.
I wouldn't quite go as far to say that I want India to win, but if they do then this could go on to be an all time classic series.

Idiotic comment on cricinfo
Rahul: "I don't think South African umpires come under the 'neutral' category for England tests, considering the number of South African born players in the team. So Erasmus isn't exactly neutral, is he?" Interesting angle that, from Rahul.

Prior really is becoming the new Gilchrist. Not quite there yet but there really can't be any doubt now that he is currently the best wk/batsman in world cricket.

Was thinking the same. Was it a genuine injury or is he hankering fpr the easy IPL money?

No idea. But I'm sure we will shortly hear an interview from Dhoni or someone - maybe Bhajji himself - about back spasms, injuries, and what a brave boy he really is.

I think it's better that he's not bowling.

Woarrrr! Prior's wrecking it. 52 at better than a run a ball. Ledge.
