Re: County Cricket 2011 Season (III)
Hampshire V Bears on Sky tomorrow. I'll settle for Hampshire 150 all out or Bears 300/2

Worryingly for Lancs' slim hopes, captain, inspiration and perhaps best player Chapple has limped off.

Aaannnndddd we're done. Congrats Surrey - the better side overall. Weak, Northants, weak.

At least you aren't being screwed on the last day of the season by an out of nowhere Ryan Dustcart innings!

True. How contrived was that. Bad times. Doesn't ease the ignominy this time though.

He got Trevved.
Trevved big. There was some table-thumping get-him-ins when the Lions were touring WI in March or whenever. His number was up from that point onwards.

Jumble Sales out for a duck.
Jesus, averaging 17 for the season. That's indefensible for a player of his ability.

Re: County Cricket 2011 Season (III)
Yeah, he's been totally shite. The boys in the paper have been clamouring for him to be dropped for months on end and I can't say I've disagreed. Who to be dropped for? Rob Newton. Who got 4 today. Still, no-one's got any runs and it's perfect bowling weather. We were doomed before a ball was bowled. Mainly because we're sh!t.

I'm not sure. It's not like you even said many positive things about him, so he couldn't have got Trevved.

Hildreth ton and Buttler, the new keeper-batsman, 50 up, both *
I don't think it's a matter of Lancs bottling it, as not being quite up to it.This time in the bowling.
Oh well - another Bears pennant it is, as long as they don't bananaskin it at the last.

Joe Denly making a late run for a Lions spot over the Winter? Perhaps he's one of those 'went away, worked on his game, and is now a much better player' types.

50 wickets @ 20 for Will Gidman, just shy of 1000 runs @ 49.
I can't remember ever seeing him play. I assume, as a Gloucs player, he's a dobber and a crabber of no discernible quality.

Is this the earliest ever Mudgegasm?
He's had an excellent last month and they must think highly of him to have promoted him to the England side so quickly in the first place. He has some nice shots. Just needed to tighten up his technique and rotate the strike better between those nice shots.

Yeah, he's been excellent in tight situations as a batsman. TBH, I'm surprised with his bowling - was innocuous part-times. Tiflex strikes again!
