Of the two I'd prefer Batty, as he could bat anywhere in the top six if push came to shove.

True, but I hear good things about Ben Cox who played in the game against Somerset. He's 17 - so we need someone to keep things going for two or three years.

Ben "I love" Cox.
He went pretty well against Somerset, IIRC. Don't see why he couldn't play division two cricket at the moment.

He won't finish his A Levels until next Summer and ther's every chance that he'll go off to University - so we will need th cover.

Quite: I would rather we gave Kervezee or Wheeldon a chance at the top of the order.
Anyway, Stubbings will score more runs than Pettini.

Well, the way things are going for him it might help get him a job when he drifts out of the county game in a couple of years' time...DJ_Smerk wrote:Remember when we thought Monty was intelligent because he had a degree in IT.

I should hope so, he'll be batting against 2nd Div attacks

Gareth Rees is better than Stubbings and Pettini combined. Fact.

Re: county cricket off season talk
WTF would big Bob Key want to return to Divvy 2 anyway?
Obviously, if he wanted to play in the South of Wales, I'd be in talks with him myself.
Rees
Cosgrove
Key
Sorry HN!

Cardiff has doubled its catering staff. Menu's are now 12 course minimums.
Unfortunately James Harris brings a packed lunch. Hence the Florida diet this winter.

Except the FUFB (f*ck up fast bowlers) with Kevin Shine programme isn't going to Florida this year, I don't think. Vaguely recall something about South Africa.
Wee Jimmy Harris is going to have to go to town on the biltong if he wants to return next season as someone who can stand up in a light breeze.
