Worcs have spoken to Steve Adshead and Jon Batty about coming to us next season.

Not the worst possible replacements...

Of the two I'd prefer Batty, as he could bat anywhere in the top six if push came to shove.

Can't have as many years left in the tank as Adshead, though.

True, but I hear good things about Ben Cox who played in the game against Somerset. He's 17 - so we need someone to keep things going for two or three years.

He went pretty well against Somerset, IIRC. Don't see why he couldn't play division two cricket at the moment.

He won't finish his A Levels until next Summer and ther's every chance that he'll go off to University - so we will need th cover.
