BCCI Twenty20 Champions League Trophy
I'm doing it and I don't care about the derision starting such a thread may cause. There's inter-club McCricket going on somewhere (probably India) and it's our duty as cricket fans to comment.
Trinidad & Tobago beat (the big) Ruhuna quite easily. Sherwin Ganga smashed it, Darren Bravo crabbed it. Earlier Dinesh Chandimal snailed to another snailish milestone whilst Chavi Champaul did the biz with the ball.
KKR are now playing Auckland and doing shite. 106/6. I haven't shed many tears as of yet.

Adams strikes first ball! Runs out the hapless Kiwi Guptill without facing a ball. England 1, New Zealand 0!!!!!
Oh what, they're playing on the same team? Ah.....

Lumb's f*cked it for Auckland, I reckon. Though this is a perfect pitch for KKR to bowl to Auckland as it's gripping and stopping. Doubtful Auckland can do it from here.
Good grief, the commentary is excruciatingly gushing and the zip-zappy OSGs is incredibly OTT. There's absolutely no escape from it either, if you want to watch the game.

...and their coverage goes off for the last 4 balls of the match. Why am I not surprised. So, I had to turn on the PC just to find out the score. It's all Auckland's fault that they lost. Andre Adams is immeasurably better a batsman than Mills, yet they send him in after.

Is this being shown anywhere then?

Eurosport 1 or 2 depending on whether there's any shuffleboard or bowls on that day.

Meh, it's alright. I'd prefer to watch an inter-club tournament, in some ways, to a single country comp. It's good to see players I'm not familiar with. I don't care about it, but it's better than Hollyoaks.
Re: BCCI Twenty20 Champions League Trophy
Sherwin Ganga. Sounds like one of those computer generated names on Champ Man.
And what happens when you mix together two underachieving Windian batsmen? Why 39 off 15 balls of course.

That was a good innings from Ganga junior. Like his brother started off as an opening batsman but turned himself into a useful limited overs bowler.

Re: BCCI Twenty20 Champions League Trophy
Trini (pretty good side) thrashed James Taylor. Expect he could've done with some teammates.
Somerset 52/2 in the chase of Auckland's 125. Sort of par really. Somerset are missing Tresco, Beddy, Pollard and Buttler. That's over half the reason they got to the chump's league. Their spinners seem like they could be a handful. They should probably beat Auckland.

Re: BCCI Twenty20 Champions League Trophy
Somerset have been pants. No real urgency. They need 40 off 25. Lewis Gregory will bat at least at 8 and didn't bowl. Have I missed the part when he became some unpromising drosso?
Re: BCCI Twenty20 Champions League Trophy
Michael Bates is top banana. I'll bet he'll get snapped up by either an IPL team or a county side or someone. Awesome bowling.
Take a bow Steve Snell, from minor counties to champ league match-winner. Top match too, last ball drama. I'm liking this freakish tournament. Still, I'm highly ruined on some good cheese.

See, a tournament like this is utterly pointless if it doesn't have sides playing full strength agin each other.
Maybe I should've stopped at 'pointless'

Re: BCCI Twenty20 Champions League Trophy
Aye, true. I like how these teams are qualifying to get into the tournament. An excuse for more games, really. It's gash in most regards. But good in some. I don't know why Beddy and Buttler aren't there. But Somerset are always going to be a Tresco and a Pollard light. Tres because he doesn't travel, Pollard because one of his many sides always take precedence over Somerset. Leics sort of mugged the trophy. 8 times out of 10 they wouldn't have even made the final on that last day.
Re: BCCI Twenty20 Champions League Trophy
Beddy and Buttler are still with England for Windies T20s. They'll join up with the 'Set afterwards.

I must confess that I find it infuriating that T & T are playing without Bravo and Pollard because they are both playing for IPL teams. That's two of the best in World T20 right there that we are having to do without. It's tghe TTCB's fault though, allegedly they agreed to allow them to play for the IPL teams for a large sum of money.

I think it should be a rule for someone like Pollard(who qualifies for 4 teams in the tournament) they should have to play for their "home" team if they qualify. The IPL teams are already filled with stars around the world. They can lose one or two players.

Wiffy
I think every player who has multiple qualifications has chosen the IPL team ...and the team they choose has to compensate the other team(s)
The IPL teams are happy to pay up ...and the other teams are happy to receive

Ahhh, yes, of course. Of course, of course. Forgot about those feasts. Brilliano.
