The other year when the Wozzies made the CL before the terrorist attack on India caused them to cancel it the Wozzie were to get compensated for Mike Hussey because he elected to pay for his IPL team ...Hussey had been playing for Oz when the Oz T20 games were on and hadnt played for the wozzies when they qualified

It's like Man Utd & Barca having first choice of any other teams players for some random tournament.

No argument from me ...the players get paid whoever they play for ,,,and the "home" associations get compensated so they dont care ...just so the BCCIPL can wave their c*cks about

Re: BCCI Twenty20 Champions League Trophy
It's fair enough, IMO, in regards to the IPL. If they're willing to front up, that's all well and good. It's down to the players being greedy, as per usual. That's what we've all surely come to recognise???

I just vomited a little at Bhogle's bitter joke about a South African performing for an English side having 'seen it all English summer'. Not the fact that it wasn't a little smirk worthy but the fact he did it whilst commentating on a BCCI franchise side!

Let the baby have its bottle, Lever. They weren't going to do anything BUT look for little forms of denigration.
Leics lost by 4 runs. Tight games so far (mainly). Which is good stuff.
Zummerzut got 166/6 against Koltwata. Lewis Gregory apparently isn't as good as anyone in the top 8, apparently. Good job he's a banker for four overs.... oh!

KKR are currently sh!tting their knicks.. 95/5 off 13.
They need 153 to qualify. I'm sure we're all hoping for 152- then.

Re: BCCI Twenty20 Champions League Trophy
Lever's non-adulation love/hate sidewank drags KKR over the line. Somerset still F'd them in the A though. Feels like a loss in ways, however. Shastri and Bhogle? Wankstains extroadinaire.
Re: BCCI Twenty20 Champions League Trophy
Fark me, you would think Somerset just turned up at the KKR show! Biggest non-winning c*ck shake dance since Old Trafford 2005...

Yeah and as I say the commentary was gushingly, fawningly awful, awful, sensationalist parochial dross whilst just about dishing out a Dello-style due to Somerset. TBF, I should really be muting these games if I'm watching them. Gosh darn I wish they'd have restricted them to a couple less.

It would have been funny if the plan to get an extra Indian team into the tournament by making other teams qualify backfired.

So 4 Indian teams in. Not one of which is a legitimate provincial/state/county team.

Aye, so close. They've hardly covered themselves in glory really, a sneaked win and a loss. Barely deserved it. They got some mincing owner as well, he was looking gutted throughout, until 19.2 overs of the KKR innings. Then pork-chopped it up like the rest.
Re: BCCI Twenty20 Champions League Trophy
Are ANY Indian players actually fit?
Saw Yusuf hobble and need a runner yesterday after Tendo had the temerity to want a quick second run and now Mumbai Indians are allowed 5 foreign players as their Indian players are all injured.

Re: BCCI Twenty20 Champions League Trophy
Decent score for RCB versus Warriors. Need about 170 to win. I'd be interested to see Jon-Jon Smuts inn reply
Re: BCCI Twenty20 Champions League Trophy
Warriors downed Bangalore.
Cape Cobras just wasted a 'star-studded' NSW team. Warner and Watson needed to do too much. Hauritz opened the bowling.
Philander was the best for the Cobra with the ball, Levi and Gibbs with the bat.

Which backfired massively. He bowled 12 half volleys, most of which went to the boundary.Red wrote:Hauritz opened the bowling.

Interesting to see how Somerset go, got to be pretty difficult for a small county side to take on franchises and Aussie state sides.

Yes, a bit disgenuous for Indians to claim superiority if the IPL sides win when they're so chock full of international talent which further dilutes the other countries' teams. An Aussie state side went down to a SA provincial side.

Paris's outstanding recent form continued with a blistering 81 in a losing effort by his team. The Slinger got Mumbai home with 37* off just 18 balls when his team was teetering at 7-106, chasing Chennai's 158.
