PMSL @ Filth
3 knock-ons in first 5 minutes. Storm have scored two tries (one a dusty BOD to Slater).

Cam Smith's kicking is keeping Manly in this.

Indeed, espesh when the Filth scored with their only real threat of the half. 12-6 at Oranges when it could easily be 24-0.

Re: Rugby League 2012
Is there anything better than watching Manly being bundled out of the finals?
Answer - No
It was a thrashing.
My nomination for worst performance by a first grader in living memory - Jorge Taufua, the Manly winger. He had a horror game.

Damn straight, Wally. Short of having the Drags to barrack for in the semis, a Filth thrashing is GOLD. FPMSL @ Manly saving their WORST game of the season for the Prelim Final.WideWally wrote:Is there anything better than watching Manly being bundled out of the finals?

You might get the bickies in both Codes this season, Nath.Nath wrote:I love it when a plan comes together

I particularly enjoyed big Bromwich scoring a try after running through feeble attempted tackles by the Stewart Brothers and Cherry-pie.

Pies and Filth losing in the same night in prelim finals.
That's as grouse as you can get other than a Dragons grand final win.

Re: Rugby League 2012
so how many times have we had 1 vs 2 in the GF, and how many times has it occurred across the AFL & NRL GFs in the same year?

Re: Rugby League 2012
Rubbish start from South Sydney allowing the Bulldogs to score a try in the first three minutes. However, I think Crocker was unlucky to be penalised for a head high tackle as the initial contact was across the chest.

The Bunnies strike back with a try near the posts. Defence has been ordinary so far in this game.

Another ridiculous Video Ref decision to award a potential eight point try to the Bulldogs.

And another dubious penalty leads to a third Bulldogs try just before halftime. They lead at the break by 16 - 8 despite being totally outplayed by the Bunnies.

Very dodgy last 5 minutes of refereeing has cost the Rabbits big time.

Aye, clearly these refs have never played the game. He basically tripped over Perrett.WideWally wrote:Another ridiculous Video Ref decision to award a potential eight point try to the Bulldogs.

Big weekend for you next weekend, Nath. Good luck in the NRL, not so good luck in the AFL.

Re: Rugby League 2012
Turning point was a bullshit 8-point try ruling after a Souths forward tripped over a diving Merrett in the corner. That made it 8-all with the conversion missed but the dozey Video Ref (fark they have been hopeless in this Finals series) decided there were knees in the back, so another kick was given in front. 10-8. Then Sam Burgess was penalised for a high shot that hit Tolman in the arms. 4 plays later, the Dogs were over in the corner, converted and an 8-4 lead had been magically converted into a 8 point deficit for Souths in 3 short minutes. That was a bridge too far for the Rabbits.

Re: Rugby League 2012
Aye, I saw that bit, and thought 'game over'. Amazing how heads can be ripped off or ground into the turf without penalty and that soft trip over the try scorer in the corner can be given as a penalty.
It did all seem to me to turn to shite for Souths without a good kicking game. Inglis can do many things but there was nothing special in his kicks.
Mrs L was not well pleased - she is a closet Souths supporter.
