It's been over 70 years, we can't afford to be picky! A few years ago it could have been a Canadian...vilkrang wrote:Well I shall be be cheering for Fed. If a Scot ends the wait for a British winner then it is massively tainted.
Come on Fed.

doesn't matter how much more easily he does it when he does it ... he's still the only one to drop serve so far
unforced errors 21 - 6 tells the real story

Apart from the time Murray dropped serve, you are completely right.lardbucket wrote:doesn't matter how much more easily he does it when he does it ... he's still the only one to drop serve so far

I also said a couple of days ago that Fed would choke in the final so it will be 2-1.

Anyway, with rain and waiting for the roof to close - fark this for a joke, I'm going to bed. I'll read about the Brit's win tomorrow morning.

Think that's probably it then. That 20-minute game always looked likely to be decisive in Federer's favour if he took it.

Re: Wimblenod
Well, Federer was just a bit too good for Murray there. Deserves a 7th title to put him alongside Sampras and that other bloke from a few centuries ago...
A tournament for the oldies, anyway! Only one out of six singles and doubles winners so far has been under 30. Roger and Serena victorious as in 2003 and 2009 - it's like tennis is somehow frozen in time!
Don't think Murray will win a Slam now. This was probably Federer's last hurrah but Nadal and Djokovic won't both trip up in the same tournament again, and the next generation must come through soon, though I've said that for 3 or 4 years!
