Pinko alert.

A wozzie, a crazy pinko, a cricket fan. Do you follow the Weagles? Are you a new Zimmy ID? Wink

I didn't realise calling a shit paper shit, made you a pinko. But I guess it does when there's hardly and media in Aus that isn't up the Noalitions arse.

Personally, I just like sniping from the Fence. Razz

I also try not to call people qunts and pooftahs in general, especially those I just met. Give me time, trike will attest, I can get effusive with the insults when roused. threaten

I am a bad person if I had a chuckle at Gillard taking a tumble in India today.

The Ranga seems to be a bigger hit in India than she ever was here. Maybe when she gets her butt kicked in the next election she can stand for PM of India. They have plenty of rag assed reffo's looking for a handout so she is eminently qualified.

Why bother Mick?

Oh look, the Carbon Tax is working.

Power Pollution Plunges

Electricity sold into the east coast market in the three months since the tax was introduced created on average 7.6 per cent less carbon dioxide for each megawatt hour of power, an analysis of figures compiled by the Australian Energy Market Operator shows.i

After reading quite a large amount of this thread on a quiet night, after not bothering much with this place for a while, I have to say I hope most Aussies aren't quiet so backward as the middled aged, middle class, self absorbed ****** on here.

I went to a talk by David Marr yesterday about his Tony Abbott essay. A couple of points:

- he thinks that Abbott the politician will always win over Abbott the Catholic
- he doesn't think Abbott is mysogynist (under the traditional defn) but is a chauvanist
- said that Abbott clearly had many fine qualities but many were hidden behind the attack dog persona
- he doesn't think Abbott would be a bad Prime Minister but was not convinced that someone so disliked could win even against an unpopular govt
- he said the punch "certainly" happened but that it was irrelevant because people change over the years (and in fact, that was the point of Marr's essay)
- interestingly said that Rudd and Turnbull are despised by the majority of their backbenchers and therefore neither will take the leadership
- thought that the defense of Abbott post Marr's essay, esp re the punch, was because his media fans had spent much of the last year or two trying to play down his attack dog image. Marr thinks they would have been better off actually reading the essay and agreeing with Marr's conclusion that Abbott is a different person to what he was at uni.

Very entertaining night all round.

I was with a senior pinko party member yesterday who told me

Turnbull will never get the numbers (and he was thankful for that)
God help Juliar if S&G find that file

Simon & Garfunkel are moonlighting as private investigators these days?

Yeah, Labor should be worried if Turnball ever gets the numbers. Did he burn too many people in the Howard years?

Gloria humiliated

"TROUBLED radio broadcaster Alan Jones will have to undertake basic journalism training involving fact-checking and canvassing a range of views, in a ground-breaking ruling by the media watchdog.

The measures, which were proposed by 2GB and which it will administer, are believed to be a first for the Australian media.

The ruling comes as 2GB suffers under a continuing advertising boycott of Jones's program due to a social media backlash against comments Jones made at a Young Liberals function that the Prime Minister Julia Gillard's late father "died of shame". "

One other thing, Marr pointed out that Peter Slipper is an ordained Anglican Priest in a breakaway church which broke away in protest of the Anglicans allowing gays and women as priests.

Aye, right up there with Roxon appointing 17 lawyers and blowing $700,000 on the $50K Slipper case, and the Vulture's cronies muscling FWA to waste as much time as possible before making any findings on the Craig Thomson Affair, not to mention the Vulture's own dodgy exploits in the AWU funds theft to buy a unit for Wilson.

Your outrage is noted. Wink
